But I am not sure if they are Afghan or Pakistani Pashtuns - of course 200 years ago that distinction didn't exist, lol. What country ...

Re: 10 years of ZCF

well the next question is how did you get interested in cricket? secondly is there a difference between your people and Tajiks of Afghanistan? in the mosque I attended as a child, I had some afghan tajik friends and they spoke what they called "afghan farsi" which I presume is officially known as D...

Re: 10 years of ZCF

are you an ethnic Tajik? Yes. that would explain why your avatar is of Hamid since Afghanistan is the closest country to you. Actually, it doesn't have much to do with that.. I like Afghanistan's brand of cricket. I loved watching Hamid Hassan bowl his toe-crushing yorkers. How those guys play is r...

Re: 10 years of ZCF

Has anyone heard of cricket in Tajikistan? Pretty unheard of, I think. I came to know about it only when I visited India for the first time, some ten years ago. That said, there are 14 registered clubs and 12 schools that play cricket currently. And there's two women's teams too. We toured Afghanis...

I've said it many times I actually think Hami should open in all formats for Zimbabwe, he's done very well in the limited overs formats & although he has a modest test record opening I feel he's the best guy for the job ......

Re: 10 years of ZCF

@CrimsonAvenger - I am from Tajikistan :D That was way too much optimism for a team that doesn't even play in the World Cricket League..... Are there any Tadjiks in the Afghan side? Or is Afghan cricket still mainly a Pashtun thing? None that I know of. Most of the players (perhaps all) are Pashtun...
