Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

Consolation wicket for Cremer :W: I don't get why Mpofu hasn't had any more spells. ..... We are waiting for the declaration now unfortunately, no plans of getting the 20 wickets, it looks like. If that's the case why not just throw the bowl to Hammy or Bobby just for the to have a go to. Total is a...

a bit too weary at the moment
Yeah. I'd bring on Mpofu (why hasn't he bowled more?) to bowl some short stuff at Bishoo.

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

Taylor, Williams, Raza were the problem. Those guys combine for 100 (which average wise, they should) - we take a modest lead. That was the difference.

Bishoo hasn't even bowled that well. Cremer and Williams looked heaps better.

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

:6: to Chakabva.

Well it's all down to this partnership now. Can we get a classic gritty Cremer contribution, with Chakabva cementing his spot in the team for the next 12 months at the other end?

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

We're throwing it away. There's a good chance we won't even post a lead at all now.

Time for Waller to really prove his value as a Test player. He's been quite fortunate (I believe) to have played quite a few Tests without playing an innings of real substance. Is today the day?

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

We just need one good partnership and we'll be fine. Lucky we bat deep... but geez there's a bit of pressure on Ervine to kick on now. Masakadza looked the most comfortable at the crease so far. So big question - who would you send in next; Chakabva or Waller? I'd like to give Chakabva the chance to...

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

I hate being right most of the time. You are inviting trouble sweeping on a bouncing track if you can’t smother it. I think it was just a poor choice of shot to play it so early in the innings. Every other sweep up to then had been productive. Anyway, I guess this means we're in need of an Ervine c...
