Re: 2nd ODI | Zimbabwe v Ireland | 21st Jan 2023

Kaia really struggling out there For the record, I’m not writing off Marumani, but with only 4 more ODI innings before the qualifiers I’m not sure their best spent on hoping he’ll come good. Who do you think would be best to partner Kaia at the top? Ahh man who knows, I honestly still think one of ...

Re: 2nd ODI | Zimbabwe v Ireland | 21st Jan 2023

Why the fuck did they choose to bowl, Also why the fuck did they choose four seamers, Looks a batting paradise Always bowl in Harare, pitch gets better throughout the day. You get that early morning swing as well. Surprised Mavuta hasn’t been picked though I think 4 seamers are overkill. Does Chibh...

Re: Ireland Tour - Discussion

A few posts in this thread about who Zimbabwe could play, Scotland or Netherlands could be a good option. They are always reasonably competitive at t he World Cup and could offer some great experience. Again, do we want to give other teams who will be playing in the qualifiers extra match practice ...

Re: 2nd ODI | Zimbabwe v Ireland | 21st Jan 2023

I hope to see Chamu Chibhabha today, he was part of the XI when I first saw and started to support Zimbabwe. He did tend to score 20-50 runs rather than big tons, but with the strong middle order Zim are building it could be really good to have a steadier batsman at the if Marumani and Madhevere are...

Re: Zimbabwe Vs Ireland | 1st T20I | 12th Jan 2023

Wow even if the pitch is helping, Burl looks really good. I think he might've spent some time really working on his action, he is quite accurate considering he is a leg-spinning all-rounder and has landed good change-ups.

Re: Zimbabwe Vs Ireland | 1st T20I | 12th Jan 2023

I think that the team need to be more adaptable with where they bat Burl. If the spinners are slowing the scoring and they're 2 or 3 down he could go in and play his game.

Re: Zimbabwe Vs Ireland | 1st T20I | 12th Jan 2023

So Marumani and Ervine opening with Ballance at 3. The middle order does look good with Williams and Madhevere, and will look even better for the competitions later in the year with Raza back too.
