Re: Vigne Cup 2018/19

Everyone reads this forum from time to time, it’s the only place to discuss Zim cricket with a bit of openness and a modicum of politeness and there are folk on here with cricketing knowledge. Not many local folk offer anything here or anywhere though and I put that down to fear of victimization, pe...

Someone took a dislike to him personally and that’s the only reason. It happens in family run businesses.

What team is Burl supposed to be playing for?
I haven’t seen his name so I’m assuming he’s got an issue with management or perhaps even a contractual issue with ZC? One of the few guys we have that I know can play at the higher level and he’s not even in the mix.

I saw him the other day, a real handful when he bends his back, bowls some cracking deliveries.

In fairness it’s near Christmas so no one really wants to administer and they do save money if no games are played. I suspect that the money has run out and we won’t see much happening until the next tranche.
Creating state of the art chicken farms and abbatoirs costs money and cricket can wait.

Re: [Discussion] Why there's no Tinotenda Mawayo in test squad ?

The bollar/usd rate is at 3.5:1 so most franchise players will be getting the equivalent of about $200 a month because believe me ZC are not swapping at the official rate. Many of these players have wives and kids.

Becoming a household name as a commentator, traveling the world, being well paid and on time and making some serious contacts vs hoping to be picked for our annual test match against Bangladesh, not being paid and being dry humped 3-0 most of the time.
He’s got some big decisions ahead of him

Re: Zimbabwe Pacer Taurai Muzarabani Retires From First Class Cricket

Cephas must surely be aware of his shortcomings? The problem is he can play like that here and get away with it a lot of the time. He will always be a pick for a franchise because he can win games, anywhere else he’d be facing stiffer bowling and there would be more batters to compete with. Plus wha...
