Re: Third OD Netherlands v Zimbabwe

Snater used to get overlooked at age group level here, he played a couple of times, but ZC largely ignored him. They seem unable to recognise talent if it were to bite them in the gonads. He's now contracted and making a living playing cricket, which is all a few of these good youngsters want to do....

Re: Preferred Zimbabwe Cricket - Horrendous Zimbabwe

Well hopefully they will follow hhm's advice. They should have followed hhm's line of thinking to the T years ago, we wouldn't be going through this anguish. Repeat T20's against Kenya and Namibia with the odd win thrown in would have been a better option.

Re: [Match Thread] 1st ODIs: SCOT vs ZIM

This is really sad..don't know how much more of this us fans can take..these players need to start being held to account.you can't blame the board in a situation like this No I strongly disagree. This is ALL the administrations making and we must NEVER fail to forget this or fail to hold them to ac...

Well there you have it from the horse's mouth as to what the ZRS is all about-
They're trying to mend the fence to squeeze an England tour and don't mind if they waste their time and money playing the Uber Drivers XI. We need to keep a clean sheet though.

Re: ZRS Have been rolled for 113 by a college first team

That's a poor standard of cricket. What's going to happen when they play a County side?

Re: WI U19 to tour Zim in July as part of their Africa tour

Yes they're certainly getting more exposure than any previous u19's. It's a little late at u19 to create real quality players, but it's better than nothing. You need similar stuff throughout the age groups and there's nothing happening, which makes me very skeptical. There's no real intent, it's jus...

Re: Standard of the Zimbabwean First Class competition

I would say it's comparable to top level English club cricket ( ECB Premier leagues) or maybe County 2nd XI. That's just an English comparison though. Not sure how it would stack against Australian grade cricket? Even cephas zhuwawo is scoring 37 ball 100 in these ecb prem league comps these are am...

His younger brother is in the side as well (14 years old!)
This youngster is going to be a helluva player if he doesn't give up cricket and pursue golf.

He doesn't get picked for Zim u19 but makes the Dutch side! Highlights the problems we have with our "selectors"
