Re: Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh 2024 | Pre series discussion
Bangladesh has named a pretty strong squad. Tamim Jr gets his maiden call up. He's inconsistent but he can destroy even the best bowling attacks on his day. Mustafiz and Shakib available for the 4th and 5th T20Is. All rounder Mohammad Saifuddin makes a return after a long injury layoff. Should be a ...

Re: Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh 2024 | Pre series discussion
Its just climate change...the new normal now. Last year was also the hottest summer in Dhaka in recent memory...similar temps in the high 30s and touching 40.
Anyone see the massive floods in Dubai last week? Hotter temps causes the atmosphere to soak up more water and drop torrential rain.

Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh 2024 | Pre series discussion
Now that the ZIM side has officially been declared its a good time to start discussing specifics. Firstly, its gonna be a toughish tour with the heat in Bangladesh this time of year. This week in Dhaka as the DPL List A tournament is going on, scorching temperatures are topping out in the low 40s. U...

Re: Bangladesh 20/20s
Fizz is past his prime I’m afraid. He’s outside the top 5 seamers in Bangladesh now. Selectors will still pick him as an automatic pick however. He’s the Bangladeshi Chatara I guess. Shakib too is overrated in T20s. Solid bowler but mediocre batter. But I guess all the BD players are pretty average ...

Re: Bangladesh 20/20s
Looks a pretty standard full strength ZIM side. No major injury concerns - which is cause enough to celebrate given how often Ervine and Williams are hurt. And not too many passengers in the side either, since Jongwe actually won a game for ZIM recently.

Re: 2023-2031 FTP news, updates, etc
Ireland are cancelling theri series vs Australia outright due to lack of cricket grounds and pitches. Two thoughts here: 1) Zimbabwe should consider themselves fortunat they are getting a Test match fixture when the Aussie series is scrapped alltogether. 2) Pretty shambolic that a Test playing natio...

Every single English player is overrated with the exception of Root and James Anderson. Stokes is decent.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 04, 2024 2:26 pmHe’s only getting a game today because that fat prick Livingstone is injure. Never has there been a more overrated player than him imo.

Re: Sri Lanka in Bangladesh 2024
Bangladesh have tours of Pakistan and India next (after a tour of Afghanistan but they aren't in the WTC). They will need to do a serious re-think of their approach and strategy if they want to compete against those teams. One of the things is, a guy like Shahadat Hossain got picked for the Test sid...
