Re: Tri Nation Series 2017 in Bangladesh

All 7 matches in Dhaka? Thats kind of lame. At least its a proper tri series unlike the last time these had a triangular in BD.

On current form, these are 3 very evenly matched teams!

Re: Zimbabwe's Test future

Promotion and relegation are awesome, although only in domestic competitions, not in international ones. Promotiom and releation also work well in the World Cricket League. But they have no place amongst the top 12 Test playing nations. That should be an elite club where entry is difficult, and exp...

Re: Zimbabwe's Test future

Promotion and relegation are awesome, although only in domestic competitions, not in international ones. One has to wonder if the ICC has the power, gumption, wherewithal, etc to ever have a coherent and consistent international program. Perhaps the random, unbalanced, and often pointless fixture l...

Re: Zimbabwe's Test future

I hope there is a promotion and relegation system then Relegation is a dumb concept for a Test league given Test status should be a permanent thing barring extreme circumstances. Thankfully it was duly opposed first by Bangladesh and then Sri Lanka. The idea of status fluctuating every cycle is rid...

Re: Zimbabwe's Test future

true. that's nothing. honestly speaking the ICC will never see the game grow if they continue like this. problem with FTP is that you see we were supposed to play Australia in Australia. a test match.. now it's a t20 tri series in Zim. you can't trust that thing. seems like that whole carrot of pla...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

It turns out only 26 of those 35 Tests are against Test League opponents.

Still a decent improvement from the current FTP and the matches against ZIM, IRE, and AFG will be very important to continue our development.

Re: Boxing Day: Waller, Williams out; Burl, Blessing, Chatara in?

Don't know why we should persist with Mire in that opening spot. May as well go with Chibhabha for lack of better choices or Perhaps have Moor open. Just don't see Mire doing any magic at the top. There's a solid Ervine at number 3 who's too valuable to move up one spot. He'll no doubt stabilise th...

Re: Future tour rumours

Jay as a fan it comes down to days of cricket. Each Test match adds anywhere from 2.5 to 4 extra days of cricket vs an ODI or t20. I think more opportunities will come in the next cycle as Ireland and Afghanistan develop more of an appetite for Tests and provided they don't get promoted to the Leagu...

Re: Bangladesh Watch 2015-2019

Proposed new FTP for 2019-2023 just got published on cricinfo... Bangladesh are scheduled to play more Tests than all countries except the Big 3. Looks like making turning tracks at home the past couple of years has paid off in more ways than one! We are scheduled to play 35 Tests in 4 years, just 2...
