Re: Tristan Holme Response

By not counting a 95 off 160 odd it makes things a bit iffy. If a bloke anchors the innings and the team wins and he tops scores... Perhaps it needs to be rendered, "Kriterion's definitive match winning performances" Or another layer added. Match winners and Other Major contributors. If a guy ancho...

Re: [Series Thread] India in Sri Lanka 2017

If Bangladesh had lost to India or Zimbabwe? This Zimbabwe "attack" obviously. :D I'd be livid. But I'd be livid if we lost to India the way SL just did. The only thing that SL competed in with india was the coin toss and I think that was 3-0 to India too. And I'll be livid if we lose without putti...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

That match, pariah...Id say Chatara (bowling) and Hamilton (batting) were clear match winners vs Pakistan. Williams is fifty-fifty but I didnt count him.

Re: Tristan Holme Response

Kriterion, can you conduct the same analysis for all of our victories during the period? It is important to know the contributors to big wins, but the smaller wins matter too, yeah? Can't make any promises. Those big wins numbered 25 or 26 and I was able to go through them in about an hour. The sma...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

That is some good work right there! Not sure how you decided who (and how many) contributed to a win, but it would be something sensible I'm sure. You can see why we kept going back to Chigs even when he was woefully out of touch. The lure of a "match winner". He hasn't been there for ages tough. A...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

If that is your measure, then Hami, Chigumbura, Vusi (and Taibu & Utseya), have been better match winners for Zimbabwe than Sean, Craig, Malcolm and even Taylor himself. Your response is very strange because Jarvis isn't exactly young anymore plus has nothing on even a 38 year old Hami as an ODI&T2...

Re: [Series Thread] Australia in Bangladesh 2017

Warner Renshaw Smith Khawaja Handscome Wade Cartwright Lyon Swepson/Agar Cummins Hazlewood Interesting reasoning. You reckoon AUS will sacrifice having two frontline spinners Lyon and Agar/Swepson plus an extra in Maxwell, but rather go for Cartwright? You may be on to something there. For one it's...

Re: [Series Thread] India in Sri Lanka 2017

SL have probably never been hammered this badly at home...not even in the 1980s probably. This same Sri Lanka bullied Zimbabwe badly in Zimbabwe, and again, even there Zimbabwe had assembled a stupid attack. The question remains, no matter how bad this SL side is - "how on earth were they poorer at...

Re: [News] Cremer snapped up. Excited about Bangladesh Premier League challenge

Are there any colonial vestiges in Bangladesh? Like a Portuguese district or suburbs and streets named after British towns etc? Colonial vestiges, yes, but mostly from the Mughals. One of my Iranian friends asked me why so many cities in Bangladesh end in the suffix "-pur" which is Persian for "tow...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

So the big question I take away from this is if ZC can only afford one of Taylor or Jarvis which one should they take? I can really see the arguments for both, but perhaps Jarvis has the edge because he is three years younger and our bowling stocks are pretty ordinary. Then again, Taylor is a galva...
