Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

Provided there is no rain, this thread should break ZCF records for posts!

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Test, Zimbabwe vs West Indies

It tells the start time on the main homepage i think. Its layout is just like the main ESPN site now. I wanted to start this historic match thread 2 days ago, but felt the honor should go to a true ZIM fan. How fitting it should be BRMT admin who opens the thread to mark BRMT's return to the team! :...

Re: Is the current (Test) side the strongest since 2004?

That could be said of most of our bowlers though. We are always rating them in context. Jarvis is defintiely the most talented red ball seamer since Streak, IMO. His county stats prove it. Chatara has or had the pace and still has the height. Panyangara never had either. Shingi is probably my favor...

Re: Series Predictions

Probably the first time ever ZIM have entered a Test match as the more experienced side. Objective will be to compete, compete, compete. Hopefully the umpires don't serve up the customary shocker per series. Zimbabwe actually had a very experienced side back in the day especially compared to Bangla...

Re: Is the current (Test) side the strongest since 2004?

Chatara is a huge loss plus also having Mumba, Shingi & Panyangara not available for one reason or another leaves our pace attack pretty weak. Batting wise very strong I've never rated Panyangara. IMO, he's lucky he only played the handful of matches and retired with the world class stats that he h...

Re: Is the current (Test) side the strongest since 2004?

How many games did the trio of Houghton, Goodwin, and A Flower play in? Can't be more than 15 or so. How would the current lineup featuring Ervine, Taylor, Williams, Raza compare to that? Of course A Flower alone was probably greater than than the current lineup plus S Ervine and Ballance combined.....

Is the current (Test) side the strongest since 2004?

Since the rebellion in April 2004, I think this is categorically the absolute strongest ZIM squad that has been fielded. The only person missing is Chatara, and I think Shingi would be a better option than Mire (but I could be wrong). I would say Mawoyo but he also hasnt had a score since 2013. Oh y...

Re: Every Zimbabwe fan's favourite topic

I think it's unfair to select Welch and Byrom over Hami since they've really achieved nothing so far in their early careers ( obviously huge potential ) True, Welch and Byrom have't achieved "anything" since they have yet to debut, but...is that so much less than Hami's achievements in a career spa...

You guys aren't going to be happy until this team is 8/11 white.

Sickening.
Yes having 8 guys in the XI who actually have some clue of what the fuck is happening on the field is disgusting.
