Re: Nick Welch Signs for Leicestershire

Btw, This kid was pitching up to mashonaland at 15 years of age. A semi competent cricket board would have done everything in their pweee to make sure this kid stayed in the system. Re: Nick Welch Signs for Leicestershire

Good for him. Nice to see a few Zimbabweans now in county cricket again. Back in the day there was plenty to watch on TV (Flower brother at Essex, Ervine at Hampshire, Price at Worcestershire, Streak at Warwickshire, Goodwin at Sussex). Re: Is this not the perfect time to start over?

It'll come down to fitness and mindset. It SHOUlDNT be a problem, but you know how we are like. I trust Craig and Raza but don't trust BT as much to stay fit. I can't help but remember when Hamilton Masakadza got fat and at 35 completely lost it. 35 is usually the magic number where your body starts...

Re: Is this not the perfect time to start over?

I'm close to a small national cricket setup and you really see the passion needed and hard work to run it well (it is run well) and until Zim have dedicated enthusiasts running it alongside business connections for the commercial side we won't get ahead. You want the cricket community to be buzzing....

His last shot to impress for an overseas contract. But unless he gets a 5er it's over.

You'd have to thinking's just trying to play polite, or he is seriously dumb.

What's worse?
An idiot or a fake liar?

He's putting pressure on himself by these comparisons. There's only a few dozen kids playing cricket now. That's one suburb of Sydney.
