Re: Name Your XI .... with a twist

Just went through those 3 XIs of jaybro again. Reall well made ones given the constraints added. I'd just have 3 changes. Chsoro elevated to test XI in place of Mshangwe, Wellington elevated to ODI XI in place of Chisoro, Munyonga to replace Mutizwa in the ODI XI.

Re: Name Your XI .... with a twist

1. Good attempt jaybro! But we hardly have any clarity on game time even domestically and you are thinking of all three formats being played in parallel internationally! If anything, as I sad earlier, hope and enthusiasm - one must learn from you! :) 2. I find it interesting to note that Wellington ...

Re: How has your association with ZCF helped you?

Right, attempting to get this back on track... As I have already said, these are the ways in which ZCF has helped me so far: 1. Meeting a couple of like-minded Zimbabwe cricket fans and having a nostalgia about the good old times. 2. Improving my coherent English writing skills Adding further... 3. ...

Re: Promising youngsters

My respect for Gary Brent has gone a couple of notches higher again. Its tragic what the guy has gone through, but just goes about his business day in and day out.

RIP Gary's wife.

Re: How has your association with ZCF helped you?

One of the things this forum helped me with in the early days was expressing myself coherently in written English. When I first found this place in 2011 I had hardly written a word in English since my schooldays and found it a bit of a challenge to counter hhm's endless essays and statistical humbu...

How has your association with ZCF helped you?

Taking a cue from sloandog and the following comment by Jemisi: Perhaps like sloan has done we could work on some fresh stuff a bit more to fill in some of the long gaps. What is it that you could achieve / get done only because of your association with ZCF over the years? That which could not have ...

Re: Your favorite forum member

Overall, for me, definitely foreignfield and Jemisi for the same reasons they both have given already. For the laughs, yes, eugene and anusha gamage - two different ends of the spectrum. I have also enjoyed the brutal apocalyptic one-liners of Train Driver and the eternally enthusiastic arguments of...

Re: Hamilton Masakadza is the new "Director of Cricket" at ZC

While the role itself could have been created to get a retirement deal for Hamilton, to compare his case with that of Utseya is a bit far fetched. Utseya converted himself to a medium pacer and still mysteriously remained in the country's top 15 cricketers to go to the 2015 World Cup and forged a co...

Hamilton Masakadza is the new "Director of Cricket" at ZC

Well, that's not a bad retirement plan. Now ZC has to define what the responsibilities of this role are. Lot of teams now have this Director. I honestly don't know what the expectations are of that role.
