Re: Guy Whitthall vs Sean William

Good question. But for me, its a no-brainer. Both are my favorites but Guy Whittall is way way ahead of Williams. As encore said, he has batted anywhere from opening to no. 7 and 8 across formats. As a cautious top order player ensuring that he faces the opening bowlers'' music and takes the shine o...

Williams has been appointed as captain of the Singapore series, Brendan Taylor is not in the mix at the moment, and PJ Moor makes a return
Nice to see this. And my instinct working well too

And I think Sean deserves to lead Zim.

Re: Opinion: Sean Williams as next captain?

I ould like Sean to b Skip. But if you are thinking that Raza is too emotional to be captain, then you dont know Sean. Raza or Sean for me. Yeah, you're right, but looks like Sean has become more sober of late. Not the same mercurial character in the last year or so and his performance has picked up.

Re: Raza out of Zimbabwe's Bangladesh tour on disciplinary grounds

This is quite ridiculous, as if we have talent aplenty. But when have we seen a Zim team selection without a controversy or two? Pretty much means that things have gotten so bitter between Hamilton and Raza that they can't be in the same XI. Sad and ironic that they hold the Zimbabwean ODI record fo...

Re: Hamilton Masakadza announces retirement

Was looking at his stats again. Played 38 tests at an average at 30. Pretty decent stats. Do kind of wonder how many tests were against lesser opposition, but in saying that, it could not have been too lesser as it was not Afghanistan or Ireland, but maybe sort of 2nd string squads. Yes his test nu...

Opinion: Sean Williams as next captain?

I was wondering who is the best choice next to take over captaincy across formats now that Hamilton is moving on (I don't think we need different captains for different formats as we play so less, and we'll benefit from a single captain). Current VC Moor is not a certainty across formats, so does no...

Hope that he does something decent on this last tour and doesn't go out with that European awfulness as his last effort.
That's all I'm hoping for too...

Hamilton Masakadza announces retirement

Breaking News. Hamilton to retire after the BD T20I tri-series. Good decision given how things have gone for him of late. Its a shame that we got to play so few tests after we rejoined in 2011 - his strongest format. We owe a large part of our last two test wins to him, which is no mean feat. This d...
