Re: Bangladesh Test Series Ratings

If BT got a 7 then I think all the other batsman would probably have to drop a point. I agree two hundreds in a test is no mean feat, but in the context of the series, I would be fine seeing both Taylor and Moor at 7, for example. Moor succeeded in 3 of the 4 innings he played and his application w...

Re: Bangladesh Test Series Ratings

Good read. Agree with most ratings and reasoning. I would have clamped down Taylor's rating at 7 though. He failed completely in the first one (over attacking in the second dig there) and had some brain fades in the second one as you mention, leading to potentially losing the possibility of a draw. ...

It'll probably be someone that's played a ton of matches like AC.

I'll say Grant Flower's 34.
That's correct.

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 2nd Test, Dhaka

Did not get to follow much of this test, except for the last day. Was hoping for a miraculous escape, but wasn't to be. 1-1 is still a massive result. Would have taken it at the beginning of the series. Well played in the second test Brendan Taylor, Peter Moor, Kyle Jarvis and Brian Chari. We were c...

Re: Lineup for the 2nd Test

1. Mazakadza 2. Burl 3. Ervine 4. Taylor 5. Williams 6. Raza 7. Moor 8. Chakabva 9. Mavuta 10. Jarvis 11. Chatara That's our best line up, bat down to 8, we have 4 spin options and two seamers. Precisely. Pretty harsh on Wellington, but this is a safe XI to go with. Not sure if it is a great idea t...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe : 1st Test, Sylhet

Can I just say Kriterion, I really like the look of Tajiul, he seems like he's got his shit together Might be their premier spinner now, bowled good areas regularly and wasn't afraid to toss it up. Working with Joshi for over an year also might have had an impact too. That guy has had some serious ...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe : 1st Test, Sylhet

Yeah, things that end well always look nice as a plan later on. But I guess Mavuta taking that wicket just before lunch might have given the skipper enough confidence to persist with him, may be. But what really had worried me was if we don't ring in the changes at all, like what Cremer did in the S...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe : 1st Test, Sylhet

I was always amazed that Sean Williams never recieved a county call up after the 2015 World Cup. He scored four half centuries. I guess the reason Taylor got a contract was compiunded by the fact he scored two big hundreds in that tournament. Really pleased for the guy Yeah BT's knocks overshadowed...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh v Zimbabwe : 1st Test, Sylhet

As I said earlier, I did not have the heart to follow the game till I went in and realized they were 7 down. Looks like the bowlers were also rotated well and decent bowling changes were made right through the innings by the skipper?
