Another 50 for Dollar. 3 down for 70 odd when I left.
So, Dollar finally coming good after a year of investing on him without much results. Seems to be a guy who likes the ball coming onto the bat?

Why on earth would we need a retired 66 year old umpire?

Afghans planning to play their first test v Zim at Sharjah

According to this report: https://www.thenational.ae/sport/cricket/sharjah-cricket-stadium-first-choice-to-host-afghanistan-s-test-match-debut-1.621597 A little disappointing. If they had played in India (Greater Noida), Zim could have come early and probably played a few warm up matches against the...

Re: Is Nathan Waller our missing link at number 8

If he does not have pace, and does not have swing (that is the impression most of us have of him here I guess), he won't be of much help. We can only know if we watch him bowl. Let us see. He should at least be a Sammy type player to make the cut in ODIs. But he has a role in T20s I'm sure. Nowhere ...

Re: Ranking Zimbabwe's Match-Winners

I will try and look at Bangladesh's stats since the 2015 World Cup tomorrow to see if there is a significant rise. Making quite a bit of sense so far. Would be interesting to see this comparison. Once some clarity is established, we can cross-verify these insights against the pre-1996 SL vs 1996-19...

Re: Ranking Zimbabwe's Match-Winners

I believe the way we look at Useya is shaped by what we think we know about the role he played as ZC's snitch inside the team. If you ignore that for a moment, hard as it is, you have a spinner who was never even whispered about as a potential chucker for ten years in international cricket. He clea...

Re: Series Thread: Zim U19s in Australia

Any updates on these matches so far? I know auszim has posted the grim situation facing the U19 squad in the other thread and the result of the first match, but more details, if anyone has and can share it, would be great...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

Yeah, some of those claims about slow knocks are questionable, and we can't come up with a DLS like system to take many things into account, but a significant contribution towards a win is a significant contribution, irrespective of strike rate / where he batted etc. Anyway, the other argument of El...

Re: Series Thread: Zim A vs SA Emerging One Dayers

Excellent counter attack by Moor, Kasuza, Maruma and Mutombodzi. When Kasuza and Mutombodzi were playing, they were rotating the strike and clearing the boundary with ease. I was just hoping Kasuza would guide us home with a big hundred, which would have massively helped his cause for national selec...
