Re: Ranking Zimbabwe's Match-Winners

I believe the way we look at Useya is shaped by what we think we know about the role he played as ZC's snitch inside the team. If you ignore that for a moment, hard as it is, you have a spinner who was never even whispered about as a potential chucker for ten years in international cricket. He clear...

Re: Tristan Holme Response

I've been following this discussion with interest, and I appreciate anyone who crunches the numbers for the benefit of us all. But all discusions about "match winners" leave me with an uneasy feeling. This is true for all countries, but especially for Zim with our very low win percentage. First of a...

Re: 2nd Unofficial Test : Zimbabwe A V/s South Africa Emerging Side

My personal biased view is that ZImbabweans should be the most dominant African in many areas - business, science & tech, etc including sports. The only reasons they not is because they lack heart and they are cowards. They're quitters not resolute or gritty. More of followers than leaders. Sadly, ...

This is the most lacklustre mania ever. Moormania was up to about 30 pages by this point.
Considering about 28 of those pages were about Priestley Jaymoor we desperately need one of the peerless Zim journos to come to the rescue.

Re: Was Kevin Curran overrated?

You want to judge someone with 25,000+ career runs and almost 1,000 wickets to his name on the basis of 11 World Cup matches? Come on.

He was undoubtably one of Zim's greatest FC players.

Re: Zimbabwe A vs South Africa Emerging: Series Thread

I can understand Mushangwe. He's been messed around a lot. He (plus Mutombodzi) showed a lot of ability bowling away in a tour of West Indies some years ago. Very embarassing how they've been treated since. Mushangwe had his confidence shattered in the Tests in Bangladesh--where he was picked as th...

Re: Zimbabwe A vs South Africa Emerging: Series Thread

M'shangwe has been very expensive so far, 16-0-100-2 currently, bit of a reality check to the idea that he would've won us the Test match in SL.

Re: Zimbabwe A vs South Africa Emerging: Series Thread

As so often it would be nice to get some sort of official news on the Panyangara situation: Yes, he was injured last year, and yes there have been issues concerning his fitness/attitude etc., but he played enough franchise cricket this year to suggest he's sort of match fit--if he didn't get injured...

I'm sure there's an SA quota or Rugby League angle to this story ...
