Re: Best cricket commentators from Zimbabwe

I have always liked Andy Pycroft as a commentator. Mbangwa does a good job also.

Re: How fast do the Zimbabwean "quicks" bowl?

Does anyone know much about Brendon Marsh other than what is on the player bio page? He is meant to be a promising fast bowler.

Re: Here's a crazy idea... let's play 4 specialist bowlers!

Playing 4 specialist bowlers is too logical for the Zimbabwean selectors. Why would they ever choose the team that has the best chance of winning? I may be wrong, but I seem to recall when the player strike first occured and Zimbabwe had to field a weakened side, the bowling was actually the stronge...

Stanford 20/20

I have been watching the Stanford 20/20 tournament over the last couple of days thanks to free online streaming at ESPN360.com. Any other US-based users should check it out. It is remarkable to see the carnival atmosphere in Antigua compared to the dull, lifeless atmosphere that existed at the Crick...

Keith Dabengwa

How does Dabengwa keep making the starting line-up? I would have thought an ability to bat or bowl was required to make a national side yet Dabengwa has neither of these qualities. Perhaps he is a good fielder?

Re: SC Williams - Most talented young left hander in the World?

While I agree that Sean Williams is a talented player I think it is too early to say he is the best young left hander in the world. I think we need to see him bat more in countries like England, Australia, and New Zealand against quality opposition before we can judge him. Alastair Cook has proven h...

Re: How fast do the Zimbabwean "quicks" bowl?

Anthony Ireland was a huge loss to Zimbabwean cricket. He was an ODI bowler of international level. Chibhahba on the other hand isn't. He shouldnt be bowling at all in ODIs let alone at first change. Ed Rainsford is a very promising bowler who needs to be back in the side. But we do need to unearth ...

Re: Match Thread: Free State v Zimbabwe Provinces (3-Day Match)

Online streams of the Faithwear tournament would be nice, but perhaps rather optimistic. I can never even find online streams for ODIs from Zimbabwe. I didn't see a single delivery of the recent Zim - WI series.

Re: Match Thread: Pakistan v Zimbabwe, 2nd ODI

Yet again Zimbabwe blew the chance of winning a match. These batting collapses are becoming tiresome. This Zimbabwe ODI team has played too many matches for inexperience to be used as an excuse. Also the fielding als o let us down at times with too many dropped chances. I see a few others on this fo...

Re: Match Thread: Patrons XI v Zimbabweans (4-Day Match)

I think a draw would be a good result at this stage! Yet again Dabengwa has done little with bat or ball. Why is he always in the team?!
