Was so obvious that Marumani was going to get out that way. He kept playing that shot and missed a few times.
We really did so well with the board, but as is always the case, when we do well in one area, we falter in the other. Need BT and Bennett to just build.

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
half way through Dean at stumps interview with Andy Flower. Some points his made about the under 19, which will be true for the national team too. 1. Players need better exposure to higher quality competition. 2. Players need to have higher quality training procedures. 3. The domestic structure nee...

Re: U19 World Cup Jan 2026 | Super 6 | Zim vs Bangladesh
I wait to see the post mortem of this tournament, but any other serious nation would fire Elton after this and make some serious change.
Can't go into a home world cup saying, "we are not worried about this one, we are worried about the next one".

Re: U19 World Cup Jan 2026 | Super 6 | Zim vs Bangladesh
It always surprises me how we have no clear tactic with our bowling choices. Even in the last game, it was like a random mish-mash of choices. Then again, Elton is the coach, so I am curious if there are any tactics at all.

Chimugoro has bowled pretty well. A few that are a bit wide, but other than that, he is not bad.

I'm not so clued up on the U19's, but are we really this bad? Looks like I'm watching village cricketers vs International
India are cruising at 10 an over. Who chooses to bowl if the batting track is that good.

Re: ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 discussion
Larry k posted how because we qualified in the qualifiers rather than automatically on ranking ZC didn’t know we would be at the World Cup in time to arrange anything  like they were 4 months ago. Even that tri series in Pakistan which was 2 months ago, we only played because one of the origin...

Re: U19 World Cup Jan 2026 | Match 2| Zim vs England
Fuck me, Zimbabweans are so content with being shit and mediocre. They take every little crumb and think it's success. We've been absolutely shit house this whole tournament. Genuinely the worst team. And here are ZC and some fans celebrating making the super sixes, like we achieved something. "Due ...

Re: Age Group NPL
In this instance, it is the job of the National Board to organise a competition, and then the job of those competing, in this case the clubs, to do the legwork required to try and win. This feels like a good initiative. The board has a job to uphold the highest standards of players, coaches, and cl...

Re: Age Group NPL
I assuming to a degree it’s putting emphasis back on the clubs to help develop players. Instead of mostly school cricket and private coaching. Sogo rangers had a diagram a little while back that explained how to progress from thier juniors to senior cricket. Perhaps, but what's to stop the clubs fr...
