Re: 99 ODI stumpings so far...
You're right googly, that stat about stumpings doesn't tell the whole story. Andy Flower was still a decent keeper. Something that's overlooked due to his heroics with the bat, plus he had to skipper at times, plus deal with the general sh*t that is Zimbabwe Cricket. I think Taibu was probably the be...

Re: Future tour rumours
That FTP is a disgrace. When was the last time Zimbabwe actually played a series which exactly corresponed with the FTP and at the specified time? Don't know whether it's ZC , other boards or the ICC, but either way it's shocking the way things are changed or cancelled. Following Zim is a test of ch...

Re: [ODI 3] Zimbabwe v UAE
Completely agree. The coverage has been really good. You just have to watch it via facebook or youtube instead of a TV. Very poor form by the Afghans.

Re: Eddie Byrom and Nick Welch
He’s in an excellent cricket environment at Loughborough , almost as good as a county set up. The bowler who dismissed him was Darren Stevens, a proper county veteran if ever there was one. He would have been brisk 20 years ago, but he’s over 40 now.

Re: Eddie Byrom and Nick Welch
Nick Welch made 5 for Loughborough MCCU, who took an unexpected 1 run lead in their game against Kent. He opened and was out for 5, just before the close. He didn't get a chance to bat in the 2nd innings as rain halted Kents 2nd innings and that was that.

Re: Eddie Byrom and Nick Welch
Watched Oxford MCCU on Monday and Malcolm Lake was not in the squad and has finished at Oxford. Not sure what his cricketing or indeed life plans are from now. I didn't get a chance to ask the Oxford coach unfortunately. Lovely day watching first class cricket in the English springtime though. The P...

Re: Eddie Byrom and Nick Welch
I agree. The attack he was facing was quite modest, but he still batted very well. They got Somerset 9 down in the 2nd innings, so I wouldn’t say the bowling looked easy though either. Trescothick and Azhar Ali were opening, so it will be interesting to see where he bats.Never thought I’d be able to...

Eddie Byrom and Nick Welch
The first class season has started here in England, and Eddie Byrom has already made his mark by scoring unbeaten 50 and and unbeaten 100 for Somerset vs Cardiff MCCU. Bowling for Cardiff was Brad Evans, also a Zimbabwean. The whole game was streamed live on youtube and is still able to view, if you...

Re: Some insights into Muzarabani Kolpak deal
He won't have played anything in England for a few months. We've had snow and sub zero temperatures. Northamptonshire's first games will be in April, so it will interesting to see if he starts for them and how he goes. It's not garuanteed. The standard of first class cricket here is better than peop...

Re: Mapping the T20 performance of Zimbabwe's opponents before the T20 Pre Qualifiers 2019
That may be true but Scotland are developing into a serious team. Kyle Coetzer (74 off 38 balls) is quality, and they have some fine other players too. They have a good structure and a proactive board. Everything in fact that Zimbabwe are not. I reckon they would beat Zim if a T20 or ODI. was to pla...
