Re: Ryan Burl
Afghanistan are hosting (in India) Ireland for a full tour in late Feb and all through March. They also have 2 Odis vs Scotland in early May (I’ve bought tickets for the first one) and then 2 more in Ireland. So they actually have a decent programme before the WC. If Zimbabwe were to play them it co...

Re: Ryan Burl
Agree 100% Sloandog. ZC are digging their graves. Not just theirs, but cricket in the country. On another point, Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland are about to play a quadrangular tournament in Oman. Scotland then play 3 Odis vs Oman, Netherlands then play some Fc teams in India, and Ireland are the...

Re: Future tour rumours
The Ireland v Zimbabwe fixtures have already been confirmed. 3 odi's and 3 T20s while the (so called) World Cup is on. These have been confrmed by Cricket Ireland so are pretty much locked in.

Re: Future tour rumours
Scotland's situation is similar to Zimbabwe in some respects. After they beat England in that ODI in June, they havn't played an ODI since. It's ridiculous and makes me really angry. They tried to host Nepal for 2 ODI's in August but couldn't afford it. They still don't have a fixture list. The curr...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 2nd Test, Dhaka
I watched almost all of this series thanks to the youtube feed, and I thought for the most part it was engrossing. Watching Zim play good hard test cricket is brilliant, and something that we don't witness enough. I agree they showed good fighting spirit, a bit like the 90's , and getting a win in t...

Re: [Match Thread] Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 2nd Test, Dhaka
This is all going to depend on our first innings . If we bat solidly and get over 300 we are still in the game. If we collapse for 170 we are in trouble.

Re: 2nd Test Build Up
I've no doubt they will produce a pitch that turns, but there is a chance this could backfire, particularly if Zimbabwe wins the toss and bats first, which would probably mean Bangladesh will have to bat last on it. We have 4 spinners of our own who bowled pretty well in the first test, who I'm sure...

Re: [Discussion] Why there's no Tinotenda Mawayo in test squad ?
His 163 not out vs Pakistan in 2011 was a superb effort. If I remember rightly, he carried his bat and was out there over 10 hours, against an attack that included Saeed Ajmal. He has played several other good knocks as well. He's the best test opener we have had since coming back into the longer fo...

Joyce, Poynter and Murtagh are all genuinely Irish. Where do you get your stats from?

He does. You would think T20 has got that new audience, now they want 100 balls. I worry where its all going...
Even at club level we are producing less and less young players who can bat time, and last through a whole innings , mostly around the 50 over mark.
