Re: [News] Zimbabwe Cricket holds crunch talks with players over salaries

Brendan Taylor, Sikandar Raza, Craig Ervine, Graeme Cremer and Sean Williams will all be absent from the Zimbabwe team for the tri-series against Australia and Pakistan, essentially because they haven't been paid. https://twitter.com/tristanholme/status/1009461393639333888 Ervine won't be missed as...

Re: [News] Zimbabwe Cricket holds crunch talks with players over salaries

Hearing Walter Chawaguta's interview on the Dean du Plessis's show, it is almost certain that Kamunhukamwe and Musakanda would be rewarded for their recent form, as well as there would be comebacks for Chigumbura and Maruma. He rated Maruma highly in that interview...

Re: Zimbabwe Head Coach hunt: 8 Shortlisted

A chucker selector and a chucker coach. Just what we might need to chuck ZC out of business.

Re: Domestic T20 Competition 2018 : Zimbabwe Select XI, Zimbabwe Board XI & Kenya

Yeah, he seemed nothing great apart from delivering some innocuous military medium stuff and biffing a couple of maximums once in a while. It was shocking that he was selected in the 15 for the SL test last year. If anything, he should have repaid that faith by sticking around and playing the full s...

Re: [News] Zimbabwe Cricket holds crunch talks with players over salaries

The seniors (most likely just BT, Jarvis, Hammy and Williams) want to set up a players union. And they want to boycott playing till a meaningful progress is made. Nobody turns up and chooses to play in the ZC tournament instead of showing solidarity for the sake of brighter long term future for cric...

Just give the poor bloke the job, he's been applying for it for over a decade. He'd probably do it for free given how much he covets it

Re: [News] Zimbabwe Cricket holds crunch talks with players over salaries

Who exactly are the guys striking with Moor back in action today?

BT, Jarvis?, Hammy?, Cremer?, Williams?, Ervine? and Burl? This is all?

If this is all the unity they can show, cricket will never head in the right direction ever again. Sad.

Re: Ireland and Afghanistan Test Watch (2018-2023)

I feel they'll invite Zimbabwe over to the North of India for a Test or two, as they'll fancy their chances Hmm, that's one way to get Zim play tests in India again. If they play in Bengaluru though, I'm sure Zim will have the upper hand. This is almost playing like the typical Harare pitch (may be...

Re: Ireland and Afghanistan Test Watch (2018-2023)

What a unique feat for Andy Pycroft, who himself made his debut as part of Zimbabwe's debut test against India, to be officiating as match referee in another country's debut test match!
