Re: ANY TEST CRICKETERS ON THIS FORUM?

Only failed cricketers and armchair critics here bud  :D  But on a serious note, we did have Sean Ervine here for a brief while? Many others surely lurked here without becoming members for sure. There were other members with FC experience too: Gerald Aliseni, Shane Musekwa, Freedom Takaru...

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO

"As much as I want to say, there's nothing to say. Our cricket and livelihoods have been taken away from us," he said. "Whatever I say now will mean nothing. It will fall on deaf ears. I just thought the motto was to grow the game, and it keeps on shrinking." That's the state of helplessness for ev...

Re: #ZCBOARD MUST GO

Well...

While the ICC was always capable of such a stupid decision, there was still some hope in some corner. But well, they are ICC.

We've been through a lot of sadness in these forums, but this is the saddest of all. We are now officially reduced to "nostalgia only" place.

Re: Euro Tour Ratings

What a miserable tour. Those ratings speak for themselves. You might have been a bit lenient on Raza and Taylor too. They were better in the NED leg, but we were basically Ervine-Williams show by the time it all came to an end. Taylor's keeping levels were specifically sad. The less said about Hamil...

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Stats Quiz

In that case, the trivia question could be: which team played their last international match against a "full member" on the same day as the 2019 World Cup final?

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Ireland - 3rd T20I -- EVERYBODY READ THIS!!!!

Yeah, agree with foreignfield. More cricket with better teams regularly would not necessarily mean we would have them get better over time. More hard work at the backyard day in and day out, and zero complacency could help though. Having said that Williams is still quite ahead of Ervine in comfort a...

I said to my son when he was having a go at the tv - 'having the character of Williamson is worth more than the trophy.'
Absolutely!

The only guy comparable that comes to mind is Rahul Dravid. Extremely rare gems as far as character is concerned.

Hats off, again, to the Kiwis and how they handled the defeat.

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Ireland - 3rd T20I -- EVERYBODY READ THIS!!!!

Hamilton messed up if his intention was to prolong his career. Had he not been the captain, he would have been dropped a while ago, or at least midway through this series, and would have at least avoided the public ire against him. He could have gone back, piled on the runs domestically and could ha...

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe vs Ireland - 3rd T20I -- EVERYBODY READ THIS!!!!

While we wait for the stream to come back, here's arguably the greatest ODI knock ever by a Zimbabwean. Andy Flower's 145 against India, Champions Trophy 2002: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDwszRQdWzU Somebody might have shared it here before, but never get tired of watching that knock. Lousy com...
