Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 4th ODI

Our record at QSC is pretty bad compared to HSC. If I read Stasguru correctly it stands (in ODIs) at 11 wins, 28 losses compared to Harare 30 w - 60 lost. But against Bangladesh the discrepancy is even bigger: 11 wins - 6 losses at HSC; 2 wins - 4 losses (make that 5 today) at QSC. Bangladesh certai...

The people of Bulawayo clearly love their local boy. What a cheer for Chris when got off the mark, and even if he gets bat on ball. :)

Re: Dropping Price for Jarvis - Good call, bad call?

A tough call, a bold move, a bit of a gamble that payed off in the end. I think we should stop talking about someone being 'dropped' when they sit out a match. For once we have a squad of cricketers who perform so we can rotate players according to conditions, fitness and the opposition. It has been...

Re: ODI predictions

A 5-0 whitewash would see us draw almost level with Bangladesh in the ODI rankings. The two wins so far have edged us ahead of Ireland.

Time to move up! :)

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 2nd ODI

Interesting to see that Taibu has shelved the sweeps and reverse sweeps for today. He's hitting the ball well when getting down the pitch. I'm curious if we'll see much more of Razzak in this series. Shakib has not brought him back after his initial mauling by Vusi. It looks as if Vusi has single-ha...

Re: Cheeky Tamim

Has anyone stopped to think perhaps it was a language barrier thing? Ordinary is one of those words that can be vague I did actually. Just reading a statement can be misleading. Maybe he meant : "I'm Tamim and I have tamed the greatest bowlers in this universe, and while you think yourselves very b...

Re: Jarvis' Pace

I understand all the hype about raw pace but Jarvis looked fast enough to me. His control was what impressed me. And with his injury problems behind him I do not want him to strive for extra pace. If he can model his career on McGrath that would be fantastic. From a long term team perspective I'd ta...

Re: Elton VS Crystal

I agree with most parts of Zimdoggy's analysis. I was only thinking whether Malcolm Waller could replace Chigs and fill the role of fifth ODI bowler together with Hamilton who bowled pretty tidily today wereas Chigs was all over the place. Meth would then get the nod ahead of Prosper. Or are we invi...
