Re: Match Thread: Pakistan v Zimbabwe, 5th ODI

I am sure we must have better sledgers than Dabengwa. I imagine Mark Vermeulen would make a good sledger. He could throw a few boundary pegs at the batsmen or something. As opposed to the England team throwing jellybeans.

How does a sore throat prevent you from playing cricket?

Sill I won't mind if Keith feels he isn't up to playing due to his sore throat.

Re: Vermeulen Cleared

I am glad Vermeulen has been cleared. I have no idea how he would have lasted in Zimbqbwe's hellish prisons. I doubt he will ever play for Zimbabwe again. Personally I am in two minds about the issue. I know he was suffering severe psychological issues, but on the other hand he did considerable dama...

Re: Your first XI

Sibanda is hard to know where to fit in the side for Tests. I find it hard to look past the opening partnership of Duffin -Taylor. And we seem to have a wealth of middle-order batsmen. I guess he would be good batting at 3 as a third opener.

Re: Keith Dabengwa

As per usual with this forum, as soon as a member rubbishes a players he performs well. Perhaps we should bad-mouth the entire side and say they are going to lose evey match. They would probably all go on to play well and win most games. I still stand by my assetion however that Debengwa shouldnt be...

Re: Ryan Higgins and Barney Rogers

It is surprising how many current and ex-Zimbabwe cricketers are on Facebook. I think they even have their own group. I have always thought it would be nice to create a group for both fans and players alike. There seem to be separate groups for both at the moment.

Harbhajan Singh affair

It disappoints me that Harbhajan seems to have got away virtually unpunished for making racist remarks towards Andrew Symonds. Perhaps in future to avoid punishment for on-field offences teams should just threaten to go back home. It seems India is the new power in world cricket and now influence mo...

Re: Keith Dabengwa

Perhaps Dabengwa can go back to domestic cricket where he belongs. At least there he can pick up wickets. Although given the dire standard of domestic cricket these days I think I could probably pick up a few wickets also.

Re: Zimbabwe cricket quiz

Hmm you just beat me to the answer. I spent ten mins on cricinfo looking through the Ireland and Scotland squads. Those eleven players make a pretty good side. Particularly depressing to see young players such as Gary Ballance leaving the country. Also Colin de Grandhomme who know lives in Auckland,...
