Re: The most accomplished FC batsmen in the country

...and I guess my "supposed" hatred for Jarvis makes me Njabulo Ncube then? Brilliant! Those who argue most passionately around here regularly get accused of being someone else. By my account, in the last three weeks, you've been: Makoni, Matsi, and now Ncube! Hey, if Makoni is Matsi, and Ncu...

Re: The most accomplished FC batsmen in the country

When Waller averages 50 over a season it amounts to "decency", if Matsi or Duffin average 40 it's a sign of "greatness" or "brilliance". Once again, you're focusing on stats, not the individual's ability! Matsi has a presence that the current lot simply do not have! Matsi's averaged 35, and scored ...

Re: The most accomplished FC batsmen in the country

My apologies for the use of the word "doctored", hhm. But your use of statistical evidence is sometimes, let's say peculiar. ;) no offence meant. When Waller averages 50 over a season it amounts to "decency", if Matsi or Duffin average 40 it's a sign of "greatness" or "brilliance". I agree Matsi did...

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz

277. Here's a fairly easy one: Name this Zimbabwe-born player who has played international cricket.

Re: The most accomplished FC batsmen in the country

 Your handling of statistics is simply hilarious, hhm. The Logan Cup averages for a particular year, when there were only four matches played, throw up some wild numbers. So Ray Price is a better batsman because he had a better average in 2008 than Matsi (50 to Matsi's 44)?  And come...

Re: Andy Waller, Mangongo, GF interviewed for Coach job

Zimbabwe will be a family unit with the boys being coached a man they trust, and have the confidence that he has faith in them. I'd be fine with that if that's the case but there were a lot of noises coming out of the Eagles' patch this season which have me wondering. I seem to remember Mangongo pu...

Re: BPL (New Thread)

Didn't catch anything of the action yesterday but at least our boys are taking some catches themselves (excuse the pun). Let's hope they can translate some of the confidence into their fielding when they don the red shirts again and butterfingers are a thing of the past.

Re: Jarvis' second stint with Central Districts.

I'm not a great follower of Jarvis: what's supposed to be his stronger suit? The longer or shorter forms of the game? Neither according to me, but he's shown promise of being a better FC bowler. He's in action for Central Districts in their latest Shield match . Did well last time around . None of ...

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz

Have a think of the question first chaps, but off the topic sligtly i've just found some footage of a cricket match from Rhodesia in 1971! Check this out: http://www.britishpathe.com/video/cricket-in-rhodesia-1 Thanks for the link, Sloan. Great find! :) That must be young Richie Kaschula bowling.
