The A team are going to the UAE for five one-dayers. Not sure if the opposition is the UAE itself or Afghanistan. Or could be Pakistan...?

Why is Mashinge not playing today for the Raising Stars?

Is he in line for a shock test debut replacing Malcolm Waller for the second test?
He's on a one match ban, not sure what the crime was.

Re: Others to potentially target

I belive that ZC has a rule that requires the National Coach and Convenor to approve any overseas pro to be invited to play Fc cricket  Watch Streak and Taibu slice each other up when things head south soon. :D From the little I know they can't stand each other already so won't be hard. It...

I am sure pariah would have loved this tour if Makoni had organised it.
Technically, he did. ;)
I spoke with Mr Makoni while he was in the UK, he was vey happy with what he saw and the outcome of the Rising Stars in general.

Re: Taibu to launch Zim Cricket Academy based in Merseyside!

It seems some people, well one in particular, will never be happy whatever ZC do now or at any point in the future. Most of your points are merely an opinion, but to pick up on one: The purpose of any academy is to prepare players for a life in professional or international cricket. It does not prod...

Re: Taibu to launch Zim Cricket Academy based in Merseyside!

As far as I understand, the players received nothing apart from their flights, accommodation and a food allowance. Cannot understand the level of negativity about this. Maybe we should all reserve judgement until we can observe the Rising Stars' performances in the Logan Cup etc.

Re: Zimbabwe Rising Stars became the 5th domestic team as the domestic Season 2017-18 fixtures are out

Wow, not sure what the negativity is here. From what I have seen in the past 12 months Zimbabwe Cricket is making huge strides. New MD, new national coach, new convener of selectors, series win in Sri Lanka, Taylor returns to the fold, increased first-class competition, successful Academy tour (who ...
