Re: Series thread - MTN Domestic Championship
If anyone wants to see some action shots of the game, I put some on the site: http://www.brmtaylor.com/news-53.html I watched most of the match last night, needless to say it was quite disappointing. A few things I noted down, how good is the Warriors bowler Tsosobe?!? He's quick and accurate, and I...

That's bad news. Somehow I get the feeling restoring ties with Britain isn't going to be high on his list of prioritiesmaehara wrote:Here's the current ban list. (PDF document)
Makoni's #42. Which possibly makes him the answer to life, the Universe, and everything.

Is Makoni on the UK's sanctions list, out of interest? Of course, whatever happens depends on March 29.

I wonder if anyone won the money...
MTN has been offering 500 rand to anyone who catches a 6 in the crowd, and as nobody had caught any of the sixes hit in Zimbabwe, the prize money was up to R2500 yesterday. Apparently entry to the ground was free and the turnout was still poor :( http://www.tradingmarkets.com/.site/news/Stock%20News...

Re: Series thread - MTN Domestic Championship
Off the top of my head, Mafa took 2/27 for the Lions, Masakadza scored 54, Chibhabha 46*, Dabengwa 31*, Taibu 33, Taylor 12, Sibanda 21. Masakadza took 2/10, and Muzarabani, Price and Mupariwa each took a wicket. For the Lions, Cook 56, Coetsee 38, Jaarsveld 34. No scorecard available yet, but I fou...

Re: Zimbabwe's IPL players
Not IPL, but ICL - Heath Streak has apparently signed for the breakaway Indian Cricket League, according to the Sunday News. No word yet on which franchise he'll be playing for. Now, I can't help but watch the ICL. If Streaky can reproduce the batting and bowling form he showed while playing for Al...

Re: Series Thread: U19 World Cup
Besides the 4 you mentioned though, which white players actually deserve to be in the 1st XI? I think Graeme Cremer has a very strong case, I think he should be in the Test team due to the experience factor. Ed Rainsford too, we need a bit of fire in the bowling. Terry Duffin, Greg Strydom, Ryan Bu...

Re: Series Thread: U19 World Cup
I would be surprised to see Landman or Jarvis get a call up anytime soon. The current quota of white players allowed in Zimbabwe cricket is already filled by Taylor, Brent, Price, and Williams. This whole under-19 tournament team has been a farce. The team has mostly been picked on racial grounds a...

Re: Series Thread: U19 World Cup
Hugely disappointing series. I suppose Jarvis (9 wickets at 20) and Landman (120 runs at 30, 7 wickets at 16) can share the honours for best player.
