Re: Time For Some Fresh Faces ?? Have Your Say
Kamungozi's Champions Trophy 2006 Statistics aren't too bad actually. 20-0-93-3 with a best of 2/55. Kamungozi seemed to fall off the radar like so many players. Whatever happened to Donald Samunderu for example? Kamungozi has been playing (not very well) for the Southern Rocks all season. His figu...

Re: Vusi Sibanda - 1,000 runs
Has 1,000 ever been scored in a Zimbabwe first class season before??
Very obscure stat, I know, but scoring 1,000 is always a big deal in county cricket. If the expanded franchise fixture list is here to stay, this may be an achievement we se several times in the coming years.

Re: Bit of a storm about Riki Wessels
I think there is pretty much no chance whatsoever of Riki Wessels playing for Zimbabwe. However, he's a decent player, and definitely a valuable acquisition for domestic cricket. With all the returning players, and the few foreigners who have signed, I reckon Zim domestic cricket might be the best s...

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe U19 in Bangladesh
Looks like the main issue is the same as the senior side. No seam bowling to speak of. Expensive and wicketless with the new ball, relying on the spinners.

Re: Can Zim U-19s do better than the senior team?
I can only see this tour resulting in a series of heavy defeats. Bangladesh are pretty strong at junior level, especially at home. They have just beaten England in an U19 series, so I don't think there is much hope, especially after the thrashing that Pakistan handed out. I'd be looking for some str...

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh - 1st ODI
I'm beginning to get worried about Chigumbura, there maybe more to his story. When he got that stress fracture a couple of seasons back he stopped bowling and when he resumed he had lost most of his pace. This would put a heavy dent on our bowling attack which has been lacking of late. I would pret...

Day dominated by two teenage first-class debutants... Encouraging I guess, although it doesn't say too much for the rest of the teams...

Re: [Match Thread] Mountaineers v Rhinos (Logan Cup)
We give a lot of (justified) criticism to ZC over the availability of scorecards, etc. So credit where it is due, it is very impressive to have live coverage of this game. Hopefully this is not a one-off, and one day, might be available for all domestic games.
