Re: World Test Championship : Performance by Team
Australia were fortunate that Pakistan dropped so many catches. Just as Pakistan were in the ascendancy Abdullah Shafique would normally put one down in the slip cordon. What was hard to believe is that they kept putting him in the slip cordon, even after he had put down 3-4 easy catches.

Where is Zimbabwe's Shamar Joseph?
Shamar Joseph has really come from nowhere to put in an immense performance - you rarely see Australian batsmen so troubled. A year ago he was working as a security guard and comes from a village in the Guyanese jungle. It makes you wonder how many other guys might be out there undiscovered. Why doe...

Re: West Indies
Shamar Joseph was immense, he has truly been plucked from obscurity. A year ago he was working as a security guard. He comes a small town in Guyana which only got internet in 2018, makes you wonder why Zimbabwe can never unearth some diamond in the rough, at least on the bowling front. I truly hope ...

Re: State of SA
I've known a lot of South Africans in my time and always got along with them, plus there is a strong rugby link between NZ and SA.

Re: Drugs bans
Serious professional athletes are not using recreational drugs. This drug culture needs to be weeded out, pun intended, as fast as possible. I think drug use among athletes is actually very common, in particularly coke, you have seen top tier athletes like Cameron Munster and Brandon Smith flaunt i...

Re: U19 World Cup | South Africa | Jan-Feb 2024
The six major nations outside of the big three are actually playing more tests now that they were 10 years ago, the problem is that none of them can beat the big three at home or away anymore. South Africa was the last non-big three to regularly taste success against the big three and even they hav...

Re: U19 World Cup | South Africa | Jan-Feb 2024
I'm very close to giving up on cricket altogether. Where is the fun? It's the same old India, Eng, Aus that keep getting stronger and others are just making up the numbers. Some flashes here and there from South Africa and New Zealand. The FTP is totally crap. The big three play each other non stop...

Re: U19 World Cup | South Africa | Jan-Feb 2024
Ya thats about right. Its a vast empty land with no water and very few people. Absolutely beautiful place. Windhoek is First World. Most of the major Namibian towns outside of Windhoek look nice also, Swakopmund for example where whites are in fact the majority. I do see Swakopmund has a cricket cl...
