Re: Africa Games squad

Really don't get why Nick Welch is there. Granted he's had a shit red ball season, but if this is where he's at in their plans he'd have been better off staying in UK, he's a serious cricketer. Plus either he or Campbell should be captain, they are very very knowledgeable. Theyre going with one ope...

Steve will have them doing thousands of laps.
 Is the squad weaker because the other guys were playing against Durham or those are his genuine picks?

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

I doubt Raza will be back. Don’t Raza and Blessing play for the Rocks? Don’t remember because they rarely play domestic these days

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

Welch Jr was a keeper then he got injured right? My advice to him will be to move to either the Rocks or Rhinos to challenge Mayavo or Tsiga for the gloves. If his body allows it of course. Tsiga is his best bet for me. Mayavo is actually a good keeper. Either way he needs to leave the Eagles even i...

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

Ainsley has actually got a couple of ok scores for a bowler against this attack. He is in a similar position to Campbell who has Burl as his direct competition. I think Wellington offers just a little bit more. Then you have Mavuta as well. In their defence it was a bit chilly in the morning today. ...

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

Looking forward to the Ireland test and I have been asking myself if a tail end of Evans, Ngarava, Blessing and Nyauchi might be too vulnerable. If the main point of a test match is to pick up 20 wickets to win then those 4 will do it. Only problem is our batting might be a little too thin but surel...

If you actually want a fair team selection the only person who will do it at development level without fear or favour is Mangongo

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

They should have just called it a chairman’s 11 so that Naqvi could have played. We are curious to see him play against better opposition. I guess he will have 1 T20 to show us. Poor sample size.

Want to see how the guys from Pakistan bowl against these guys in the T20s as well.

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

There is a little bit of rain around. The country needs that but expect massive delays at Takashinga unless they move the match. Wet outfield loading. I don’t know why their drainage is so poor

Re: Durham tour of Zimbabwe

Maybe a better option for our test team would be to move Gumbie to number 5 or 6 so that he can be the keeper. This might be better than persisting with Maru and Madande for now. Either that or they will make him “volunteer” to open and keep like Regis did in 1 game if remember correctly. If he does...
