Re: Squad For First Match Against Pakistan x1
Staddon was one of the more consistent players in the Logan Cup last year. This is a young A-team, with quite a few promising players in it. However, you would suspect that the Pakistani side will probably be quite a lot too strong for these boys. Also, hopefully this squad has been chosen due to a ...

Re: Zimbabwe isolation imminent?
I'm afraid to say that if ZIm get completely isolated, I think it will be the end of cricket in the country. There will instantly be no money whatsoever within the game, and it is struggling to fund games as it is. Therefore all provincial and national team cricket will disappear overnight, as will ...

Re: Ed Rainsford
I suppose this is the end of Ed Rainsford's international career. If he was to play for Gloucestershire it would have to be as a Kolpak player, which would mean that he wouldn't be able to play for both Zim and the county....

Re: Taylor Considers Quitting
I can fully understand ZC insisting that the players stick around to compete in the domestic competitions (although they should perhaps think about scheduling the tournaments at a different time of year...). However, Zim's players will be sitting on the arses for the next three months if they stay i...

Centrals Averages: http://stats.cricinfo.com/zimbabwedomestic/engine/records/averages/batting_bowling_by_team.html?id=4173;team=4222;type=tournament The batting was lead by Erick Chauluka, who was pretty consistent, but failed to push on to a century. Keeper Mahlunge got Centrals' only century, but ...

Re: Brent and Dufin Quit
As long as there are no further departures, I think Zimbabwe can weather this storm... I agree, as Zim has just about "weathered" far greater storms recently. However, if there are no further departures seems to be such a big if. You can't help but worry about the futures of the likes of Williams (...

Re: Brent and Dufin Quit
Really crappy news to be honest. This constant stream of players shows no real sign of stopping any time soon. Which it has to do if Zim are to regain test status/ever be genuinely competitive. No Zim side in history could afford to be regularly losing players, least of all this one. Duffin isn't a ...

I just read on Cricinfo that Zim were looking to possibly tour Kenya in July...maehara wrote:Just confirmed by Cricket Kenya: Zim to tour in Sept/Oct 2008 for at least 3 ODIs and 2 4-day matches. They're hoping to secure a 3rd side to make the ODI games a tri-series, so there's no itinerary yet.

Re: Ian Nicolson playing in England
you could just see how vaulable it would if been if the two seasons weren't scheduled during the same time. At the moment it would be good if the likes of hondo, Ireland and nicolson where playing in the logan cup. Sadly, I don't think Ireland would be around in any case, as he has retired from Zim...
