Re: Shaun Tait

Shaun Tait is a great fast bowler. He was very impressive at the last ODI World Cup. I'm an Aussie & we are careful using the term "great" when talking about Shaun Tait. In fact, after the disasterous test in Perth against India, the phrase "Australian team " & Shaun Tait should never be mentioned ...

Re: [Match Thread] Tuskers v Mountaineers (Logan Cup)

Maruma's sole wicket in the 2nd innings was his 100th in LC (53 this season alone).
Matsikenyeri is still LC's all time leading rungetter with 2881 runs but Hamilton Masakadza is closing in with 2861 runs. Gee, I love first class seaons! All these records tumbling!

Re: [Match Thread] Eagles v Rocks (Logan Cup)

Chigumbura 73 not out overnight. He has only 1 century in his LC career of 35 matches. Just short of 2500 runs with an average in the mid 40s shows the consistancy of the man. Plus 90 LC career wickets (38 this season). A player sadly missing from the international arena on a regular basis. Go you g...

Re: [Match Thread] Tuskers v Mountaineers (Logan Cup)

Maruma has just taken his 50th LC wicket this season-a record. He now has 99 LC career wickets (and a tad under 900 runs).

Re: [Match Thread] Mountaineers v Southern Rocks (Logan Cup)

While talking about Masakadza is topical, Shingi Masakadza scores his maiden 100 in next to notime plus takes 7 wickets. Now, he has 83 Logan Cup wickets in the 3 years he has been playing. Why isn't his name spoken of when the international side is discussed?

Re: [Match Thread] Mountaineers v Southern Rocks (Logan Cup)

Here we go: Southern Rocks 263 (95.1 overs; Ervine 55, Maruma 5/107) Mountaineers 308/4 (H Masakadza 141*, Kamungozi 2/49) Hamilton having a good day, it seems... This is Masakadza's 4th LC century for the season & ninth in all. He is now equal with Neil Ferreira with most LC centuries. At the time...

Re: [Match Thread] Rhinos v Eagles (Logan Cup)

One thing to note about Sibanda, he has only done it in 4 day cricket not in the one day stuff so should this mean that he should be in the one day side??? Hmm good point. Personally i'd have him in regardless of how fluent and at what pace his innings is. His form of late is sensational, and i thi...

Re: [Match Thread] Rhinos v Tuskers (Logan Cup)

The Sibanda run machine continues. Over 1000 Logan Cup runs in a season. 7 centuries in 9 matches (15 innings). Record after record to fall.

Re: Logan Cup records

Hope this is of interest. It sure is man, Thanks for the post. Love the Stats, they put everything into perspective. That boy Timycen Maruma sure is good. I only hope he gets a national team call up soon. Whatever happened to Richie Sims??? Stuart Matsikenyeri has overtaken Mark vermeulen as the Lo...
