Re: ICC conference
The 2007 World Cup was a farce, I don't think the fans could cope with a repeat of that. At least the right team won though.

Re: Sean Ervine
I watched from about the 14th over of Hampshire's innings, Ervine's wasn't a convincing knock. All of his runs came through singles, most weren't off the middle of the bat.Jemisi wrote:Update, 19* off 21 in a Hampshire win last night. Some signs of form returning. Didn't bowl though.

Re: Zim selection panel fired
That's pretty harsh, I agree with Jemisi that the selections have been pretty good except for the Masakadza exclusion. At least Campbell is still there.

Re: Match Thread Zim XI v Australia A
It's a modest target but competitive. As long as Zimbabwe rotate the strike (there's no need for undue risk in this chase) and don't lose early wickets, it should be attainable.

Re: Match Thread Zim XI v Australia A
Australia A are 6/182 after 40 overs. Still 2 overs each from Price and Mpofu but we're a bit light on otherwise. We still need 4 overs out of the part timers... it's good to see Meth bowl well. After a shocking first over (12 from it) he's now got 1/44 from 9, taking the big wicket of Marsh. Just a...

Re: ICC conference
The abolition of runners is also a good idea. Every other sport players have to play through injuries and tough things out, why should cricket be any different? This using a runner because of a few cramps is pathetic. If you dont want to run just hit boundaries. Plus runners normally caused more ha...

ICC conference
Some of this is applicable to Zimbabwe. It looks like there will be a qualifying tournament for the World Cup in 2015 for a start. I'm not a huge fan of this idea to be honest, I would prefer a 12 team tournament involving all of the full members plus a few associates. The risk of a qualifying tourn...

5. C Ervine
...
