Keith Dabengwa

How does Dabengwa keep making the starting line-up? I would have thought an ability to bat or bowl was required to make a national side yet Dabengwa has neither of these qualities. Perhaps he is a good fielder?

Re: SC Williams - Most talented young left hander in the World?

While I agree that Sean Williams is a talented player I think it is too early to say he is the best young left hander in the world. I think we need to see him bat more in countries like England, Australia, and New Zealand against quality opposition before we can judge him. Alastair Cook has proven h...

Re: How fast do the Zimbabwean "quicks" bowl?

Anthony Ireland was a huge loss to Zimbabwean cricket. He was an ODI bowler of international level. Chibhahba on the other hand isn't. He shouldnt be bowling at all in ODIs let alone at first change. Ed Rainsford is a very promising bowler who needs to be back in the side. But we do need to unearth ...

Re: Match Thread: Free State v Zimbabwe Provinces (3-Day Match)

Online streams of the Faithwear tournament would be nice, but perhaps rather optimistic. I can never even find online streams for ODIs from Zimbabwe. I didn't see a single delivery of the recent Zim - WI series.

Re: Match Thread: Pakistan v Zimbabwe, 2nd ODI

Yet again Zimbabwe blew the chance of winning a match. These batting collapses are becoming tiresome. This Zimbabwe ODI team has played too many matches for inexperience to be used as an excuse. Also the fielding als o let us down at times with too many dropped chances. I see a few others on this fo...

Re: Match Thread: Patrons XI v Zimbabweans (4-Day Match)

I think a draw would be a good result at this stage! Yet again Dabengwa has done little with bat or ball. Why is he always in the team?!

Re: Match Thread: Patrons XI v Zimbabweans (4-Day Match)

I was wondering why 4 white players were in the team. I didn't think that was allowed anymore. Maybe the quota only applies to full international matches. Zimbabwe should have batted better against this 4th string Pakistan side. Yet again some strange selections such as leaving out Terry Duffin who ...

Re: Match Thread: Namibia v Zimbabwe Provinces (3-Day Match)

It is good to see Keegan Meth back in the mix. I hadn't heard anything of him recently and was concerned that he had moved on elsewhere. I think he has a bright future in the international game if he decides to stick with Zimbabwe.

Re: Match thread - Game 3 - Sth African Composite XI vs Zimbabwe

It is pleasing to see a century from Sean Williams. Hopefully this will send a message to the selectors that he needs to be included in the team. Not that form is the main criteria for making the Zim team these days!

Re: Prosper Utseya - world class player?

I dont think Utseya is worldclass. I would rather have Ray Price than Prosper Utseya. Utseya is a good container and keeps the runs down but he isn't really a wicket taking bowler on the international scene. I am not sure he is the best person to be captain of the team either. Someone like Gary Bren...
