Centrals Averages: http://stats.cricinfo.com/zimbabwedomestic/engine/records/averages/batting_bowling_by_team.html?id=4173;team=4222;type=tournament The batting was lead by Erick Chauluka, who was pretty consistent, but failed to push on to a century. Keeper Mahlunge got Centrals' only century, but ...

Re: Brent and Dufin Quit

As long as there are no further departures, I think Zimbabwe can weather this storm... I agree, as Zim has just about "weathered" far greater storms recently. However, if there are no further departures seems to be such a big if. You can't help but worry about the futures of the likes of Williams (...

Re: Brent and Dufin Quit

Really crappy news to be honest. This constant stream of players shows no real sign of stopping any time soon. Which it has to do if Zim are to regain test status/ever be genuinely competitive. No Zim side in history could afford to be regularly losing players, least of all this one. Duffin isn't a ...

I just read on Cricinfo that Zim were looking to possibly tour Kenya in July...

Re: Ian Nicolson playing in England

you could just see how vaulable it would if been if the two seasons weren't scheduled during the same time. At the moment it would be good if the likes of hondo, Ireland and nicolson where playing in the logan cup. Sadly, I don't think Ireland would be around in any case, as he has retired from Zim...

Re: Ian Nicolson playing in England

Another promising player unavailable...

I think you're right about rescheduling the domestic fixtures in future years. That way, ZC could actually welcome players going to England for the summer (like they used to), as this is a good way for them to gain experience in foreign conditions.

Re: Series Thread: Logan Cup 'A' Division

It's a shame, these guys should be playing in the Logan Cup, raising the standards of the competition. ZC need to lure them back somehow. True, but another problem is if ZC deliberately sidelines these players because they have opted out of the Logan Cup. Zim is not in a position to be able to do t...

Re: Strongest team

That side of yours is somewhat short on bowling. Ervine has had injury problems, and his bowling isn't what it used to be. Hick doesn't really count either, so I'd replace him with Utseya, or Ireland, depending on conditions.

Re: If Mark Vemeulen.....

I find it highly improbable that he will make any sort of a return.

Which is a shame, as he would almost certainly be good enough to make the national team, and would obviously strengthen the domestic competitions.

Re: Upcoming Fixtures

After the end of the Faithwear Cup (middle of June??...), do any Zim sides have any fixtures at all for the few months after that? If there are any, ZC haven't announced them. Next cricket I have on the schedule is the trip to Sri Lanka in November - that's on the FTP, but it's too soon yet for any...
