Re: Zimbabweans in the UK (2017 Thread)
Hi All, You can keep an eye out on the Zim Academy team in their T25 Wednesday league here - https://www.crichq.com/clubs/198952/matches/results Bit of background to the league.... It's 100% made up of Asian players. The standard is not very good at all - a lot of the players work Saturdays (taxis /...

Re: Zimbabwe announce bumper domestic season
You don't think by increasing the number of teams you're actually diluting the talent pool? With 8 teams you're just giving more opportunities to more mediocre talents. To put it another way, why don't you think we should have 16 First Class teams? Why stop at an arbitrary number like 8? Are you a ...

Re: UK 2017
Thanks LJRiley for the detailed response. Things are certainly more formal in England than they are here. No way would we pay pepper to play in an amateur league. We actually demand fees. My further question is, Why the focus on Zimbabwean talent? There's only 500 or so players In the country so th...

Re: UK 2017
Can someone please explain to me again why a third division Manchester team would want, or be able to pay other club cricketers? It's the nature of the beast in uk cricket. Most leagues are classedoing as "open". This means in theory you could pay 11 players if you've got the finances. For some clu...

Re: UK 2017
think he's agreed to return to edenfield. they stayed in their division. so he'd be playing in the 3rd tier of the greater manchester league. still a decent standard thoughFlakeman wrote:Does anyone know where Diplock is going next season? He had a cracking season in UK this past year.
