Re: WI Domestic Season
Am a bit late in starting this, but the third season of the Professional Cricket League (PCL) has started in the West Indies and four rounds have been completed. The teams are now supposed to have been professional outfits for just over 2 years now. This is now the first time the teams are going to ...

Re: Longer domestic season to start mid October
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys that you do indeed get a longer Logan Cup this season. I'm sure it would help immensely.

Re: Longer domestic season to start mid October
All top teams have 6 to 8 domestic teams, Zimbabwe Cricket just 4, which is tough for new talents to appear Hmmm...yes and no. All other full nations generally have 5-28 teams (yes...28..India...they do things differently...ditto Pakistan with 26, Sri Lanka with 14 and South Africa with 14 for thei...

Re: [Match Thread] Tri Series Game 3 Zimbabwe v West Indies
A very thrilling finish to that game. I was disappointed that WI didn't take it home, but I'm glad for a tie and shared honours between the teams. :D Pat Symcox was right that inexperience might cost the west indies in the end and it did. I might be wrong but from the stats I saw not even 1 of the W...

Re: Is Harare Sports Club the nicest ground in world cricket
What is the nicest venue you've been to? In Australia most stadiums are concrete jungles characterised by bad seats, expensive drinks and junk food and insane ticket prices. HSC is pretty comfortably the best venue I've watched cricket at. I have a feeling some grounds in Sri Lanka, like Galle, mig...

Re: 2016 ICC Restructuring (2 Division Test League, etc)
A bit more on the new (and in my opinion, better) ideas here: http://www.thecricketmonthly.com/story/1061588/tests-in-2020 Some of the interesting bits from the article: The structure the ICC now favours is for 12 competing nations - the ten current Test teams, plus Afghanistan and Ireland - to make...

Fantastic knock by Cremer. Moor also. Nice to see Zim team players showing a never say die attitude.

Re: 2016 ICC Restructuring (2 Division Test League, etc)
The newest proposal : A conference-style format for 12 Test teams (inlcuding Ireland and Afghanistan) in two groups and a play-off between the group winners. http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci-icc/content/story/1062376.html An interesting idea for sure, but will the big guns really commit to such a sch...

Re: 2016 ICC Restructuring (2 Division Test League, etc)
Should be a 4 year Test championship, with the rankings used for seedings. Not sure how you do it with 10 teams. Might have to be the top 8 teams only, maybe 6 day Tests (or Timeless if a whole month is dedicated to the tournament) to ensure results. Week 1: A: 1 v 8 B: 2 v 7 C: 3 v 6 D: 4 v 5 Week...
