Re: BAN v ZIM Test Match: a Bangladeshi's View
Yes, the pressure of this series is certainly higher. Equal to the last World Cup pressure I would say. Most fans take the safe road and predict/expect 4-1 wins over Zimbabwe because we know our team isn't that far ahead of Zimbabwe regardless of what the rankings table says. Of course from a Zimbab...

BAN v ZIM Test Match: a Bangladeshi's View
So this game will be very exciting. For Bangladeshi fans it provides a rare opportunity to display what we've learned throughout our struggles. Zimbabwe are "reborn" as a veritable 10th Test nation. Bangladeshi fans too have been deprived for 14 months without Test cricket. So here is what I, a die-...

Re: Mind games vs Bangladesh
BCB asked for an extra day and I think are paying a hefty sum for it...its pretty ridiculous for a full series to have a 2-day warm-up. So hopefully it will be a proper FC match then. if its a 3-dayer, it should have official first class status...although that also depends on the teams agreeing to ...

Re: Mind games vs Bangladesh
It certainly is an interesting catch-22 for the selection team. I'll start by saying what I would do if I were a Zim selector/manager. I would only play a select few players who have a chance of featuring in the Test XI. So perhaps Vitori and maybe Chakabva or someone. If I thought there was a good ...

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Match - Zimbabwe XI vs Australia A
surprised to see waller has a FC batting average over 38 over a large sample size of innings (58). that is very solid. not to mention being not out today will have edged his average a teenie weenie bit higher. he might deserve a serious look before the selectors pick their XI.

Re: [Match Thread] 1st Match - Zimbabwe XI vs Australia A
If ZIM can get to 300 then they may be able to draw the match and that would be a very good result. 350 would have been the ideal total once you reached 201-3...but a collapse is currently on order.
Late wickets must be avoided.

Mpofu has been bowling very well of late, I think Streak deserves at least some of the credit if not most of it. Hats of to Chris as well.
