Re: Tracking Zimbabwe's progress from here (Tests)

Unless Zimbabwe play 6 Tests at the very minimum a year they will make no progression because they will be forever starting from scratch. Zimbabwe played 4 Tests last year and look like playing 4 this year ( having not played a single test in 2015 ). With Bangladesh now seemingly not interested in p...

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Netherlands - 1st One Day Match

Zimbabwe win the toss and chose to bat which is unusual for Zimbabwe. http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/18060/game/1121706/Zimbabwe-Select-XI-vs-KNCB-XI-1st-Match-netherlands-tour-of-zimbabwe/ I noticed Shane Snater isn't in the Dutch squad, I wonder if he has been approached by Taibu/Streak to ret...

Re: ZIM Test lineup going forward

I really don't understand how Tary is ahead of Burl in everyone's Test side, he averages 23 and zero hundreds. For me this is the generic side I would go for ( different horses for courses of course ) Hami Burl BRMT Ervine Williams Raza Regis wk Jongwe Cremer KJ Chatara Mumba 12th man Regis just ahe...

Re: OK so what about Jarvis' return...?

Hhm logic Claims he supports whites by supporting the inclusion of Duffin & Ewing who were never going to be picked so there was no danger of them being selected. Whilst he tries to find every little negative about bringing back two established County players who are clearly walk up starts in the Zi...

Re: OK so what about Jarvis' return...?

I don't think anyone will confidently say Zimbabwe will win but at least they're giving themselves the best chance possible. So basically, you're saying the upside is ZIM will lose to AFG by 1 wicket or 4 runs as opposed to 2 wickets or 8 runs? No thats not what I'm saying, I'm saying BT & KJ give ...

Re: Dean at Stumps: Brendan Taylor

I agree with a lot you said there Tapsc but I think the addition of BT gives Zimbabwe more runs up top so we can afford the loss of Tiripano's batting down the order. Also you're probably a bit harsh on Regis, he can bat and has actually scored some tough runs before in Tests. There's room for both ...

Re: Dean at Stumps: Brendan Taylor

This would get funnier when both Taylor and Regis play in our next test series, and Taylor does not keep and plays at 3 / 4 citing workload, and Regis keeps and anyway opens, contradicting Taylor's thoughts. How else can they fit them both in? They better start thinking about it now. This could be ...

Re: OK so what about Jarvis' return...?

What are u going on about Hhm ?? Getting back BT & KJ have helped Zimbabwe's chances of qualifying but Afghanistan & West Indies are still favourites as they're both ranked higher. You could argue Zimbabwe & Afghanistan are now equal second favourites due to home field advantage & the returning star...
