Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

34 years old and arguably our 2nd best batter. What a talent. We need him to stick around. Well played Willo.

Pujara mostly blocks and he is a great player. But he does defend well against spin and doesn't really struggle against them
One averages 46 and the other 23. Are we really comparing them?

Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

Prince isn't great but who else is there to try and hold the top order together? The criticisms seem fair but until Byrom comes along or something... I get this point, which is where the criticism has to come of ZC. They need to be active in producing talent and identifying issues, not just be like...

Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

Did you see that spinners first ball that dropped halfway down the pitch? He didn’t know what to do with it. He wasn’t expecting it. He could not adapt. It should have been a simple boundary. He basically blocks and waits for the ball to be in one of two areas he can play. Might get runs domestical...

Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

Looks like we got rescued by the same guys again. I said it before, Prince is a liability. He just plays at way too slow a rate that it creates a sense of worry in the rest of the lineup and has the potential to create a problem where we are 4 wickets down for not many after about 20 odd. Someone re...

Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

I'm at work so unable to watch, but seems like bowling Burl at the moment is a little bit of a waste. Get the pace guys back in there and finish off the tail. Don't give them the chance to play for time.

Re: Future tour rumours

Really hoping Zim can reschedule that series back here in Aus. There is no major issues as such. If the guys stay in quarantine before departing, then they would have to do a quarantine here, or depending on where they play, they may be able to move around a little more freely. Aus can't really use ...

Re: Match Thread: Afghanistan v Zimbabwe 1st Test (2nd-6th March)

Lovely start from us. Let us hope we can capitalise on this and dominate them now. Did mention that I think our fast bowlers would be the key. Its a bit disappointing that we do not really have a 3rd and 4th quality fast bowler who can continue that added pressure and dominance. Like the 1st test fo...

Re: State of SA

Is it time we all stop caring about the IPL? I havent bothered since season 1. Especially when they tried to do the Champions League but insisted that players had to play for their IPL sides over the domestic side. So Aus players for example could not play for the BBL side. No wonder the Champs Lea...

505/6 and Ngarvara strikes early Afghanistan 3/1.

Half centuries for Burl, Wesley and Raza.
Good score, but imagine if one or two of those kicked on to a century. 505/4 would read even nicer.
