Taskin has seriously improved. Might be world class at the moment.

Re: Match Thread: 3rd T20 Zimbabwe v Bangladesh (7th May 2024)

I hope so too. If you look closely when Gumbie was dismissed, Ervine did actually pat his back when he was walking out. Shows that deep down he knew it wasn’t his fault. Nobody can blame him to be honest. He did the best he could and unlike the first game he was hitting them straight to the fielders...

Re: 2nd 20/20 Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe may 5th

We must not forget that Williams and Ervine are playing because essentially there is nobody to replace them. If you add the Welch brothers, Dane, Myers and BT back from suspension I don’t think Williams and Ervine will be automatic picks. Especially in T20s. Don’t forget Naqvi as well if he sorts hi...

Dont be surprised to see Evans, Williams, Craig, Burl, Bennett and Campbell all play one game together by the end of this year. That’s not even that far fetched. Probably an ODI

The most likely change tomorrow will be Williams for Gumbie but to me that’s fair because Burl needs a wake up call.

There is no quota and that’s one thing I really don’t like that Coltart constantly does. It puts people in defense mode then narratives about sabotage start coming up. Sometimes it’s better to keep certain opinions off social media. It’s counter productive.

Re: 2nd 20/20 Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe may 5th

The anchor shouldn’t be opening but they are the only ones with a solid enough technique to survive quality opening spells. Maybe that’s where the problem is. The person who actually played a perfect anchor role yesterday was Bennett. He accelerated easily at the end plus we have seen he can utilize...

Re: 2nd 20/20 Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe may 5th

What I’m most happy about is that Burl is going to have to step up because Campbell just dropped a typical Burl kind of performance. As the senior player he is actually supposed to move up the order

Re: 2nd 20/20 Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe may 5th

I feel for Gumbie because he is good enough to not throw his wicket away so he will just keeping getting bogged down until he literally gives it away. If they had brains trust there they would realise that maybe he can’t open in this format. He can definitely find gaps after the power play and ancho...

Re: 2nd 20/20 Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe may 5th

For the first time in maybe a decade I got that feeling of a change of guard. Well played Bennet and Campbell. Well played. They have to drop the 2 openers from today and bring back Burl and Williams then we give it a real try for the next game. That might mean they sneak in Faraz for Jongwe because...
