Re: MTN Championship
To be honest, the standard of domestic cricket in South Africa is pretty high. I think that if Zimbabwe do make the semi-finals, then that is a very decent effort. I personally can't see them winning it though. We should remember that only about 18 months ago, Zim were completely thrashed by the Eag...

Re: MTN Championship
I know he gets a lot of flack on here, but I'd much rather have Keith Dabengwa than Tino Mawoyo... Mawoyo has scored very few runs for the Provinces side, and offers even less with the ball. Also, there actually seem to be too many spinners, if that's possible... Utseya, Price, Maruma, Cremer & Kamu...

Re: Match Thread: Griqualand West v Zim Provinces
Another lame performance with the bat today to lose the 45 over game... Continuing the pattern in this competition of bowling OK, and batting poorly. Regis Chakabva once again top scoring.

Does anyone know anything about these players, as I've heard of very few of them.

Re: Afro-Asia Cup
You are right, but I think a lot of players didn't really make themselves available etc. If the best players play, then I think it could be a good tournament. Especially if it's played somewhere like Kenya, where they don't often get to see players of that calibre.

Re: Afro-Asia Cup
It was in June last year, so I'd have thought it will be the same this year.
Commercially, the concept was pretty unpopular though, so it may well not go ahead...

Re: next african odi team
I think that Namibia may well qualify for the next world cup. Unlike Zimbabwe and Kenya, their players all seem to be reaching their peak around now. It seems unlikely that they will ever be able to push on to the next level though. Uganda have a fair amount of potential. Their youth teams have an e...
