Re: Zim Provinces season review

I'm all for the return of 'timeless test' cricket at all levels, just think of the value for money my membership at Sussex would give me if we had 7 day county matches

Re: Zim Provinces season review

The SAA 3 day final is under way today, the final of the 3 day competition is shown as a 4 day game  , and after winning the toss Western Province rolled Griqualand West over for 144. In the SAA 1 day semi finals Northerns 172-9 beat Eastern Province 157 by 15 runs and Gauteng 297-5 thrashed S...

Re: Australian tour of Pakistan

I see that Cricket Australia have finally made a decision to 'postpone' the tour on the grounds of security and safety, cricinfo reports that PCB and CA are looking to try and reschedule for either November 2008 or March 2009. I hadn't realised that the Champions Trophy was due to be hosted in Pakis...

Re: Series thread - Logan Cup 2008

Perhaps I have been a little unfair to ZC. I see that on the ZC website, in an article titled 'Domestic programme ready to roll', there is a paragraph which says, "There have also been a number of players offered contracts to play club cricket in England and the IPL in India, and the dates of the do...

Re: Series thread - Logan Cup 2008

If the dates are correct that they are quoting on cricinfo today, then Zim cricket looks set for another bout of problems. The Logan Cup, they say, is to run from april 17th to may 20th and the Faithwear Cup from may 27th to june 2nd. What will now happen to any Zim players who have arranged pro con...

Re: Series thread - MTN Domestic Championship

I see Taibu finished off the series with a bit of fun, dropped at 3rd man off the 2nd to last ball before hitting the last for 4, shame he couldn't have got a 6 off it.

Re: Series thread - MTN Domestic Championship

Blimey Zulu, I thought you had been at the gin bottle

Had to check with supersports that you were not joking and ....... you were not

This is a good result, no doubt about that at all. Well done to Taibu and Matsikenyeri.
