Re: New Zimbabwe ODI allrounders?

Panyangara? Just played a nice shot. :P Seriously though I don't think it's a major issue. The lower order is quite good - it'd definitely be nice if one of Lamb, Cremer or Utseya was a more natural hitter to press the advantage in the last few overs, but they're all good enough to contribute down t...

Re: [Match Thread] West Indies v Zimbabwe (2nd ODI)

Chiggs n lamb better show their Eagles form here ......... Lamb should show that he was selected as a batsman and not a bowler I'm still mystified at how bad he's been going in the Logan Cup with the ball. He's been a batsman first, bowler second for quite some time now, but this is someone who pla...

Re: [Match Thread] West Indies v Zimbabwe (1st ODI)

Really not a good wicket for batting at all IMO - not one day batting anyway. It's relatively easy to stay in but it's slow and inconsistent so it's hard to get the ball away as we've seen - and it's turned a bit too. Reckon about 250-260 is par.

Re: [Match Thread] West Indies v Zimbabwe (1st ODI)

Decent innings from Sibanda so far. Obviously a bit slow but not too bad for someone making a comeback in his non-preferred format of cricket, and he's decently given us a decent platform. Would be great to see him accelerate now.

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Kenya - 2nd ODI

Kenya now 100-3 from 27 overs with Williams on as our 7th bowler, why ? Everyone's an all-rounder now :? Heh, well it's not like Williams is a non-bowler. He did heaps of bowling coming up through the age-level rep system and although he hasn't done a lot of it in franchise cricket of late, he cert...

Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Kenya - 2nd ODI

Kenya now 100-3 from 27 overs with Williams on as our 7th bowler, why ? Williams's bowling has dropped off in recent times, but judging by the way Zimbabwe's innings went and indeed Kenya's innings so far, the pitch really suits the spinners. Getting some cheap overs from Williams in now will mean ...

Re: [Series Thread] Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh

It was only about a week ago Vermeulen scored 93 in an ODI, FFS. I'm a Vusi fan but there's no way Vermeulen should have been dropped. If Vusi *had* to play, it should have been Waller to go.

And don't start me on the three spinners thing...
