Re: Chatara the only unanimously loved player
Definitely not me! I think Hami is one of the keys to our side - mainly because of his experience. I just wish he'd bowl more and bat at 3 / 4.brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Tue Oct 31, 2017 11:26 amIs there anyone who doesn't like Hamilton Masakadza?
But I like Chatara too. Good seamer.

Re: MATCH THREAD! West Indies vs Zimbabwe 2nd test @ Queens Bulawayo
I think the track is taking turn. If Cremer and the squad of part time spinners bowl well they should restrict them. That’s the other thing- they knew the track would turn, why not pick another specialist spinner? Yup. Good point Googly - if you've prepped a spinning track pick a specialist spinner...

Re: MATCH THREAD! West Indies vs Zimbabwe 2nd test @ Queens Bulawayo
We're looking very toothless. Not having Chatara and Panyangara is killing us here. Keeping Waller in is absolute insanity - as I've said before. Nothing against him personally, but he has not played well for some time now. Straight swap for Burl would have made more sense. I think Muzarabani could ...

http://www.espncricinfo.com/southafrica/content/player/46599.html Did anybody ever see this guy bowl live? Apparently he absolutely slammed it down. People keep comparing Rabada to this guy, so he must have been scary good. Just wondering of any guys saw this fella bowl? Hhm, Eugene, Maehara, Flake...

Re: Why can't Zimbabwe develop a tearaway quick?
Excellent question. It's a massive disadvantage for international cricket. Jarvis seems to have gotten slower than what he was too - it's extremely worrying. Is it to do with our small population? lack of coaching? Our pitches? The air density? It's mind boggling.... The Aussies have 4! The Pakista...

Re: Why can't Zimbabwe develop a tearaway quick?
I tend to agree. Look at Dale Steyn - he isn't tall. Akhtar was only 6 foot. Harold Larwood was 5ft 8"! Malcolm Marshall was under 6 foot too and he was probably the best of all the Windies pace men. I know "fast twitch" fibres in the muscles are an important component but there must be more to it t...

"How do we build a cricketing nation that is consistently capable of winning?"
Simple question. "How do we build a cricketing nation that is consistently capable of winning?" It's a simple question but it doesn't have a simple answer. I'd like to hear your thoughts, but to kick us off, a few of mine, if I may: Observations (Negative) Not enough people in Zim play or watch cric...
