Jinxed him there. As for Burl If he is such a good bowler then I hope they pick him at number 8 if we play the Ireland test. Maybe he will do some damage

Re: Match Thread 1st ODI Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
Burl is not a better bowler than Mutombodzi. Better batsman yes but with the ball that is not true. The stats don't lie. Well it’s Burl being picked up for BPL deals for his all round skills not Mutombodzi How did he do there? He performed at the right time. Mavuta played in the Mzansi League, wher...

Re: Match Thread 1st ODI Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
I actually think Mpofu might be our best bowler at the death. Our 2 injured guys leak runs at the end. Chatara especially.

Re: Match Thread 1st ODI Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
Burl has picked up less that 20 List A wickets in close to 60 games. Definition of a part time bowler. He wouldn't have made a difference here. He also averages 20 in ODIs . Don't remember seeing him open too. He is also somebody trying to find his feet in the game. I wouldn't say we miss him. Mate...

Re: Match Thread 1st ODI Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
This is a 300 plus wicket. Anything below that is a victory for the bowling team.

Re: Match Thread 1st ODI Bangladesh v Zimbabwe
I think we will actually perform better in the shorter formats because our bowling doesn't need to take 20 wickets to win .

Re: Wesley Madhevere in ODI Squad
What Mangongo is saying is also why I'm a bit sceptical of making Wes open. He could get an unplayable delivery from Mustafizur and that could really kill his confidence or he could kill it. Fine margins

Re: Wesley Madhevere in ODI Squad
The step up is difficult because there is a mental aspect to it. Its not just about ability. i think PJ is a good example of a guy who dominated school cricket but is not finding it that easy at the highest level. Lake dominated schools cricket like PJ. so you can never be sure that anybody will liv...

Re: BD vs ZIM Test grades (both teams)
Simply put for me Taylor is world class but he had a poor test match. I get the rating because it's not necessarily that he was the worst player. He wasn't. It's the weight of responsibility being a senior player and the best batsmen we have. We needed him badly. If you notice the 2 test matches we ...
