Douglas Marillier's world record of highest ODI score by a No. 10 batsman is broken now.
Dougie smashed 56* against India at faridabad in 2001 in a winning cause, inventing Marillier shot in the process. (though he played that against Pigeon @ Perth initially)
Mohammed Aamer of Pak eclipsed that today against NZ in 3rd ODI. He is currently batting on 69. Chasing 211, Pak were tattering at 101/9 and now they need 24 off 22 balls.

Re: Mari££ier's world record broken
Phew. Who says ODI are boring? NZ held nerve and won by 7 runs. The historic 103 run last wkt partnership with No.10 scoring 73*and No.11 managing 33 turned out to be futile.
Mpofu, you have to break this record now.

Re: Mari££ier's world record broken
I hope that Douglas Marillier is seeing it and considering a return to competitive cricket. We were hinted that he was going to return and eventually wasn't named in any franchise squad. His invented ''Marillier shot'' is also called ''Dil-scoop'' nowadays after Tilakrtne Dilshan played the shot.
