You are correct googly, although underestimate Scotland at your peril.

The wikipedia page for the tournament helps to explain it all: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_Cric ... _Qualifier
Neil Johnson, Alistair Campbell, Murray Goodwin, Andy Flower (w), Grant Flower, Dave Houghton, Guy Whittall, Heath Streak (c), Andy Blignaut, Ray Price, Eddo Brandes

Yes Googly. You are correct. The biggest winners today are Scotland. Assuming Hong Kong beat Nepal they will already go into the super 6 with 2 victories. We are on 0 if that's the case. So from here on every game is almost like a knockout game from our perspective.

Seeing how this tournament is playing I'm sure there will be a few more surprises. If Nepal beats Hong Kong our whole group dynamic changes again and Afghanistan can still make it

In the other group PNG have to throw their game to have any chance of getting ODI status and the Netherlands have to beat PNG and the West Indies. So yes.. this is going to be an emotionally draining tournament for many.

Scotland would only be 1-0 up in that case.

So then it’s vital to win our next two games. WI and Ireland play each other on Saturday so one will have the upper hand points wise going into the next round.
We need the most points from our group going into the next round. Absolutely vital we win our next two games.
Then if we have one slip it will probably come down to NRR?
This is going to be heart in mouth stuff all the way.

Did NOT see the Afghans failing even to make the quarters. They have been picking shit squads for ages now and getting away with it. Now they finally are paying the price.

I just can’t wrap my head around the fact that if (and highly likely) Afghanistan go home this whole thing is skewed in favour of Pool A. We desperately needed them in the next round. Thank goodness we have one “easier” game against the UAE because it’s likely Netherlands are out.
Eeish I’m only getting though this with alcohol.

They were overreliant on Rashid Khan and now that he's struggling with the ball, they've been exposed.

Easy solution

Win all our games. Hong kong and scotland should not hold any fears or instil sleepless nights
