SRC to dissolve ZC Board

Post by jontym87 »

Ladies and Genteleman

I'm reliably informed the current ZC Board will be dissolved soon. The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) will be making an announcement soon. The former Sports Minister Kazembe Kazembe had already given his blessings. What's happening now is they (SRC) are just briefing the new minister on what is going to happen.

Moving on to the current lawsuit at the High Court by Heath Streak and wanting ZC to be declared financially insolvent and be run by a curator. There was noise in the press by a certain bootlicker journalist by the name Mehluli Sibanda praising the current and soon to be ex-chairman Tavengwa Mukhuhlani of having the debts and loans housed under ZAMCO thus throwing a 'lifeline' to ZC. If anyone follow me on Twitter i was the first and only person to boldly declare that this will come back to bite Tavengwa Mukhuhlani. Here is why:

1. By housing the debts and loans under ZAMCO, Zimbabwe Cricket has technically admitted they are financially insolvent they can't pay their debts. So what Heath Streak through his legal rep Gerald Mlothswa are doing is going through the legal motions to effect the change and get the organisation under new administration.

2. ZC were tasked by ICC and government to declare all the debts and they left some out like the Streaky one, mine also as I have a letter of acknowledgement from ZC for money they still owe me and other former employees who won labour court cases against the body. What this means there is no trust and faith in the current leadership as they had the opportunity to do so but thought they were smart.

More to follow........

Well this will be interesting

Not sure what the future holds for cricket in Zimbabwe if this goes ahead, but the way it’s tracking right now something like this needed to happen.

Does the ICC allow for that kind of intervention? This is the most important question.

I think as of now Zimbabwe are slowly beginning to get back on track, please don't do anything stupid to once and for all kill cricket in the country. Enough is enough. Just focus on your cricket and play well, as simple as that.
