I personally think it will come down to the bowlers, and getting Gayle and Pollard cheaply. We have the batting strength to chase 250-280 against their bowlers, i hope our boys have cranked their bowling machine up to get used to 150+ that Roach can bowl. But if they get away with the likes of Gayle then we could be chasing a lot more than 280, just look at what they scored in the 45 over game against the prime ministers XI 399-6 with Gayle making near 150 off 80 odd balls. Get him cheap and have our spinners bowl tight in the middle and we can take them.

If the W.I field their current team, yes Zimbabwe can win. However in fairness to them they are woefully
undermanned. Consider the players they have out: Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Barath, Benn, Bravo, Taylor and Edwards. Now it's not as if where talking about fringe players here, these guys would be in their best 11.
Take Edwards and Taylor for example, okay they might not be superstar fast bowlers but their certainly not bums either, Taylor for example took 5/11 in a test agaisnt England. With their best team they would make a difficult opponent at home for Zimbabwe. I'm unconvinced Zimbabwe could score 250+ consistently against them considering they struggled to do that against Bangladesh who have an inferior attack.

If west indies have services of sarwan, chanderpaul and bravo than there is no chance of zim win i think.

Lets just say we can beat West Indies, but the point is us winning a couple of games and being consistent and competitive. West Indies are very good ODI team, we need to show the world that our cricket is on the up due to the introduction of franchise cricket. Players are being given the chance to show that they deserve to be in the team, when a new coach comes in, we will definately have under performers out, good luck to the team.

To be honest, looking at the squad selected for the tour, i have my doubts. With some of the former players returning i thought that possibly they may well have had a crack. Possibly Craig Ervine and Keegan Meth. Dion Ebraham has been a consistant performer for the Tuskers, as has Ewing. I just think we're gooing to struggle on this tour. Having said that the talent in the squad is amazing. Cremer is still in great form and so is Taylor. Coventry has scored runs recently and Greg Lamb has been one of (if not the best) the most consistant batters this season. Great to see young Mazakadza in the squad, the lads got some pace !! Always nice to see Kyle Jarvis is any squad
