Our chances this year

Post by sloandog »

 It's been a while since i made a new thread

I'd like to think that our chances in the world T20 this year are much higher than they were in say 2007. With power hitters Coventry, Taylor, Chigs and Bliggy in the line up, i think we've got a pretty solid side. Our spin treo of Ray Price Graeme Cremer and Prosper will be a force to be reckoned with aswell.
Now, i want to know from you guys who to whatch out for in the tournament. Who;s going to be the stand out player ??
In my opinion it'll be either Grame Cremer or Chiggs

Cremer because of his stylish mullet.

Blignaut might be a bit too ruty from his time off.

I really dont know about this team....they have the flair to rip apart an attack.....but sometimes they can look so timid out there.

I believe regardless of whos best, BRENDAN tAYLOR IS THE KEY.

When he is on song Zimbabwe do well.

I would say Chigumbura. If the guys gets it right in both departments then Zim can pull one or two shookers. I would love it if we could beat New Zealand after they turned down touring Zim.

Ja you're right ZIMDOGGY, but he's been very "hit and miss " as of late, and i just think he needs to improve his consistancy with the bat a little. When he's on song though (like you said) he can rip any bowling attack apart

AGREED, its nerveracking sweating on Taylor,, he walks in front of his stumps too much.

All i can say is if Taylor has a bad touirnament, so will Zim.

Everytime they have done anything of note in the last 5 years he has been at the front.

Taylor alone can not do it . Our hope is we get a good foundation from the top to the end of the tail . Good opening berth , followed by some good knocks in the top order followed by an avalanche of runs in the batting . If we avoid the famous collapso then our bowling will be in position to fight
